Oh he’s one arrogant SOB! Per the article: "Nope, not to my knowledge," said Maciariello, asked if there's any reason to think he'll be fired at season's end. "None." "I have two years left (on his contract)," Maciariello added. "I've been in meetings about what we're doing next season, and who we're playing next season, and scheduling and roster management, and from A to Z." Maciariello, a Shenendehowa graduate, pointed out he was in Texas recently on a recruiting trip. "I'm not sure they'd let me spend all this money I am on recruiting and traveling if I'm not the guy," he said. "And why would I not be? I've won two (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) regular-season championships and finished in the top three for four straight years." “we do the best we can with guys that are available and we look forward to just putting a good product on the floor “ He goes onto blame injury and touts his finishes in the top of the MAAC. They asked Siena president Chuck Seifert for a comment he deferred to the dinosaur yes man AD and gave some canned BS response that basically paid lip service to the fans and contained nothing of any substance. Siena’s administration is as much to blame as anyone over the last 14 years for the lack of results. It’s embarrassing! Reading into this statement… "I've been in meetings about what we're doing next season, and who we're playing next season, and scheduling and roster management, and from A to Z."….regarding ‘roster mgmt’…tells me he has said he needs to run off the mistakes he’s made, and D’arg will let him. Otherwise next year is more of the same and they both know they are fired. The ‘we do the best we can’ reminds me what I told my poor performers when they said ‘I’m doing the best I can.’ I’d just tell them anyone can do the best they can, what I need are people that can get the job done. And his ‘with the guys that are available’ is just making excuses with the injuries. Carm you are the one that brought in a D2 roster and left 2 open scholarships. The lack of depth is your fault. You think he’s running off Tekin Courtney Winters Carson Gribben Coyle and the Iceman? I don’t. Why would they leave? I think he knows Eley Durogordon, Ojo, maybe Gio are gone. Others who may bail Smith and Frazier; who just may want to get closer to home, have a new start and get away from this cluster-F. The biggest mistakes will still be here. We’ll see if Courtney and Winters get scholarships with all the exits. I betting Carm gives them both spots. How many assistants will we loose, as well? I hope Bobby’s gone. I like Wyche and Farrell.

I like Wyche and Farrell. I also think they'll be many defections from an already underwhelming roster. If Carm is back he’ll have to retain the Freshman and recruit 3 or 4 difference makers as a lame duck to have a shot at getting out of this hole. When the admin is evaluating giving Carm another year they have to think a repeat of a single digit win season is much more likely than even a mediocre 15 or 16 win year. I think they’re smart enough to know that a single digit win season with a lame duck Head Coach would do irreparable harm to the program, but we shall see.

I like Wyche and Farrell. I agree, the non-DI scholarship players have to be cut, but the walk-ons can stay. The issue is backfilling all the empty scholarship slots with real DI talent. Any scholarship to walk-ons is wasted. Maybe if you are a solid winning program and you what to reward a rising senior walk-on with a scholarship it's okay, but now is not the time. The program is in the gutter and needs all the help it can get, not wasting a slot on a player who should only get spot/end game action on a winning team.

That what’s required but according to Carm we had all the pieces in place to contend this year. Does he have the guts to take a real objective look at this roster and make the necessary changes? Depending on the number of defections, he could have quite a few spots open. Can he sign an adequate number of difference makers to turn this around? We haven’t seen it the past two years.

I think he wants to run off Ice, Coyle for sure, Gribben a maybe and possibly Frazier. I don’t think Carm is as high on Frazier as some fans are. Tekin goes back to being a backup, where he belongs, Courtney and Winters stay as walkon’s. Then he sees who bails and fills those spots with JC/Portal guys and maybe 1 Frosh in addition to JoJo (who hopefully he keeps). No way he gives Winters a scholarship and if he gives Courtney one he should be fired on the spot. I agree Bobby is gone. I like Farrell (no idea how good he is but he is the only one coaching the kids up during the game).

The entire TU article and Carm's comments made me sick to my stomach. I was hoping that he would be successful at Siena, however now I am really starting to dislike him. What has he demonstrated both on and off the court that would support him being retained as the Saints HC? I see nothing. Carm has to go!

He seems to be going scorched earth, me vs. the world, all us morons are wrong and he is right. That is his approach to everything. He has accomplished absolutely nothing except dropping this program down further and further under his watch. So incredibly stubborn, I could almost see him doubling down next year on this team. He truly thinks this team still at this point, has a chance. Please. This disaster is over in 3 games, none of which I will even pay attention to. I see nothing either, he has done nothing, time for him to move on.

Just incredible disrespect to this young man. He knows how to make someone feel little and disvalued. This game means nothing and at this point we have no shot of winning. Let the kid play some instead of minimizing him in the local paper. Coward.

Ca4m has stated on many occasions if the guys only played harder they’d win. Those statements lead me to believe he doesn’t see any recruiting mistakes on his part. So after the seasons over we’ll see “who wants to be a saint” and the rest will be in the portal. The portal will create the openings needed to turn things around. I can’t even keep track of the number of scholarships that’ll be available with the one for three and walk ons getting ships. I have to agree with One Indian here on his names we’ll see back and has the star that’s never played on the team again next year? What an absolute cluster!
Then, on top of it all, there’s Ca4m’s coaching, ughhhh.

The one year Siena won the MAAC there were minimal teams as Covid was taking hold,I believe we played each team 4 times ,Maybe. The next one along with the first it was Manny Camper and Jalen Pickett carrying the Saints, neither of which were recruited by Carm as HC. For him to take credit ( I won the Maac 2yrs in a row) is a shame on him. IMO he will never win a Maac title again. GO SAINTS!!

Year 1 Carm got boned. Period. That team was ROLLING and IMO a very good candidate to win a tournament game. Burns was a monster inside and I think we had Pickett and Camper. That was a great team. The frog stomped the first team they played in the MAAC tourney before it was cut for COVID.
Year 2 was the messed up year. We still had Camper and Pickett and lost to Pitino / Iona. Again, I don't recall that being on Carm. For some reason Pickett and Camper sh!t the bed 10 mins into the 2nd half when Iona picked up the D intensity. They had 10 TOs between the 2 of them.
Years 3 & 4 - all Carm This year - all Carm. I truly hope he doesn't do a 4 game run as he'll declare victory with an 8 win team.
