Are any of JP's signees still coming? Only one commit, Baker, and he ended up at UNC Asheville. But JP did recruit Pickett hard, waiting on his grades, so the kid was familiar with Siena before JC got here. And Seymour was recruited by the JP staff last year, but they stopped this year. So the first two kids do ironically have ties to the past. He had two commits. Don't forget Wojick, who has committed to Richmond.

I'm curious what posters have seen him play in person? For the record, I've seen him about a dozen times. The AA game sticks out to me because they have a couple good big men. Just got a call from my son wondering if the board blew up on this one - he saw something in the paper this morning - he said he watched about 4 or 5 games last year and he more than confirmed your assessment (actually might have been a tad more negative!!!) - no motor and looked like he didn't want to be out there - should be interesting to see if JC can turn him around... So there is some smarts in the family!! . I actually feel sorry for the kid. I honestly don't think he likes the game. He plays because his Dad coached for so long and he's tall. I'm done on this. He's a kid. I was just hoping he caught on somewhere else. I'm not sure we can afford this at his point of a rebuild ;(

does this mean Siena is off Zdor? How about Malik Zachery? havent heard his name mentioned recently and he did retweet the commitment of Seymour. I think Zachary has issues. He was begging teams...they all backed away. He last had offers from Siena and Canisius. Dayton, Oregon State, Massachusetts, St. Bonaventure had put out feelers apparently. He claims he was receiving interest from Wake Forest, Penn State and Boston College until he broke his wrist and missed his junior season. Then interest dried up, so he decided to attend prep school.

Nice to see a local kid commit to Siena.
In terms of this recruiting class, I will generally give Christian a pass since he started so late.
What I'm looking for in this team is motivation to play and giving their best effort on the court every game.
I will be very interested how he does in 2019 for recruiting.
Additionally, I would be interested too if he decides to bring in transfers that would be eligible for the 2019-2020 season.

I think he was cold calling Sydney Johnson 2 months ago. I think they said no too.

Kid is a 3 star prospect. If Penn goes, JC should grab him.

Penn, Baker, Timberlake, Welch, Pickett, Camper, Smithen etc etc.. If Jimmy and Jamion mated and had a baby coach, I think these players could have excelled in the resulting system. Sorry that post is total fantasy..Other than WB-- Jimmy NEVER won recruiting battles- you had better chance of hitting mega millions that JP did signing Timberlake, Welch, Pickett-- probably wouldn't have got any of them-- outside chance at Pickett but even that I doubt --

Per NERR article from last month Malik Zachary, Springfield Commonwealth – It was an up and down, injury plagued, season for Zachary but his highs were enough to intrigue programs from the Atlantic 10 and MAAC among others. A playmaker with the ball in his hands, he has burst and physicality off the bounce, and with added consistency he could be a potential steal at the right level. Watched video of this kid he looks good

Watched video of this kid he looks decent I know. I saw that article and all the video. It doesn't change the fact that everyone keeps backing away from the kid. Maybe he's not good enough at running a team or not a consistent shooter.

I didn’t feel like starting a new thread and since it’s about Sloan and this one was already in place ... .
Tony, feel free to break this out if you think it works better otherwise we can continue this throughout his Siena Career.

Anyone know Siena’s Freshman debut game records? While everyone at the game last night was informed about A.J. Reeves breaking Providence’s freshmen debut game points scored record; I was wondering if Sloan broke Siena’s records for attempted & made three point shots? Paul, if you’re out there and kept the stats you used to compile the Siena Media/record books let us know. Sloan attempted 9 and made 5 treys in his first game as a Siena freshman. I know he didn't get most points record but may have gotten most 3’s made/attempted. If he keeps this up for 4 years and Siena gets some postseason play in at least 2-3 of those he’ll challenge Scott Knapp & Tay Fisher records. No offense Scott & Tay but I sort of hopes he gets it (because maybe that’ll translate to Siena Team success too).
