Only adjustment Kentucky made was to stop turning the ball over. And no letting West Virginia set up there press 22 first half 3 second half. And i think West Virginia's inept offense did the rest. Not that much talent involved in that.

Adjustment. Key word. I'm not going to throw the 17-18 Saints under the bus or out the door like their head coach will to cover up his recruitment misjudgements.
Here's the thing; even though they arent the most talented players in the MAAC, they aren't 5000 claimers running with graded stakes horses. The MAAC talent level is down across the board. Who thinks whatever team gets to the dance has a chance to pull off a win? Not me.

And for that reason is why I believe Saints current roster is not close to MAAC level talent or that of the good Siena teams of the past. They are in last place. Could you imagine if the MAAC talent was at a high this season how over matched this Saints team would be?

Agree. I love watching two good strategic coaches go at it. Last night I watched Calipari erase a big West Virginia lead with his 'forever young' team. Again I realize there is a talent difference at that level but the KY coaching staff made significant decisions to erase the deficit and take command at one of the most difficult venues to win at. Agreed, however they only can have success by making these adjustments and have them executed if they have the talent to carry it out. Young or not KY has very talented players. Most coaches, at this point of each season, have a damn good idea of who can do what on their squad and design/call plays that cater to those strengths. True they must be executed by the players but the staff must execute their responsibilities FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!! You keep wanting to land it on the players, open your eyes AND MIND, so-so is the problem - case closed for this year...

Misparactice, I have come to the realization that you and I are on totally different pages. I say up, you say down, I say black, you say white. That is fine. But please stop saying what I am saying. I am not trying to land it on the players. I am landing on the coaches for recruiting the players. Many on here are saying that this roster is talented and would do much better under a different coach. I am not buying it. What I have been saying is that the talent it not MAAC quality or up to Siena standards. And I have said repeatedly that JP is a mediocre coach. Would another coach do better with the group? Maybe, but not significantly. The talent is just not their IMO. Hopefully that is spelled out enough for you, because I cannot say it any plainer than that. I do agree that most coaches have it figurec it out by this stage of the season. However with this group only so much can be done due to their deficiencies.

It doesn’t really matter at this point. It’s the 5th year.

Just like you there's no reason to keep repeating same thing bashing players and coaches.I'm going to watch in person and tv cheer, scream and cry.I'll wait to see who comes on official visits and who don't.That will give me more insight on where the future is headed. And also how these guys finish.Good Luck my Saints live long and prosper.

I'm not sure anyone is saying this team is talented....just more talented than they appear to be and what talent they do have would be more evident with a qualified coach.

A sure down-cycle for the MAAC... and Siena is a basement dweller in that environment. The current league status props up a poor recruiting coach and he is failing to measure up given this "benefit". While some of you think that the team can compete. It should really be stated that it should be able to compete in this watered down MAAC in its current state. The reality is that this situation would look MUCH worse in normal years.
