Sad to say but I would be very surprised that if there is even a season, that fans would be allowed even at a reduced capacity in the TU center. It's a shame because we waited so long to finally get back to the top of the mountain and now that we are here we can't even enjoy it. Let's hope for the best but I seriously have my doubts.

Unfortunately it’s more a reality than some want to believe. Rates are steadily climbing in the late teen to twenty something population. You can see it in the Capital District area. Once students are back in school and on campus it’s a pretty good bet that cases increase exponentially. Look for a repeat of March with remote learning and shut downs. We knew nothing in March. You can’t hide from a virus. What if there is NEVER an effective vaccine. Are you prepared to just end life forever? Never play sports. We have to learn to live with it. The cure will kill us before the disease. If you’re healthy and under 50 years old you have virtually no danger. And please I know I’ll get attacked. Outliers happen and they are terrible but you don’t make policy on anecdotal stories. There are people on this board who are rooting against the season happening. Go tell that to Carm and those kids who are working their asses off! There is not one person (outside of maybe Papi) that is rooting against this season happening. I think there is virtually no chance they play in front of fans this year and think there is a very real possibility they don't play at all. I would be absolutely thrilled if proven wrong on both counts.

There are people on this board who are rooting against the season happening. Care to tell us who those people are? I think we'd all be interested in knowing who they are. I sure would.

This one is so f'n far off the f'n charts that it can't go unchallenged. I don't believe there is ONE single Siena fan that wants us not to play this season. NOT ONE! So please, give us an indication of who you use as the foundation of your wild ass claim. I want basketball this season PERIOD FULL STOP. Selfishly, my 10 year old granddaughter has been working her little butt off on her game AND I WANT TO BE ABLE TO WATCH HER PLAY THIS F'N YEAR - PERIOD FULL STOP. You nay sayers scare me the most because you are spewing your misinformation (being kind there - Bull shit would have fit better) and it can't, READ THAT CAN'T, go unchallenged PERIOD FULL STOP. If you don't want to wear a mask, great, maybe you'll meet Herman Cain at the gates of where ever the hell the grim reaper sends you. As for the other brain deads, THIS VIRUS IS NOT POLITICAL SO STOP THE F'N ARGUMENT THAT DEMS ARE DRIVING THE INCONVENIENT THINGS WE ALL HAVE TO DO TO CURB THE SPREAD - READ THAT ALL as in, YOU TOO!Go tell that to Carm and those kids who are working their asses off I would be embarrassed to even tell Carm that one of Siena's biggest fans would think this crap and spew the nonsense you and notomo, nolesaint and racersedge have been putting out there while trying to justify your support of our a'hole in chief. JUST F'N STOP!

Personally, I don't care what politics anyone on this board has. I don't care if you are a socialist, a Republican, a Democrat, a Conservative - what matters to me is that you and me and everyone on this board is supporting the Siena Saints and doing everything we can to encourage, support, and cheer them on!!! Go Saints!

Was just watching the news and saw another (now 18) Marlins player and 2 Cardinals tested positive. At the same time there have been 0 positive tests for the NBA and NHL since they got into the bubble. It’s clear bubble’s work, and traveling city to city doesn’t, so far. If there is no vaccine in time, I don’t see the college hoops season happening so how is this for a wild/crazy/hopeful idea...take the schools that would have been in the tournament last year and put them in the NBA bubble in FL, and maybe somewhere else, during winter break and play the tournament. At least we get some games, the schools/NCAA get some much needed TV $, and we make the best of a bad situation. Then if we get a vaccine the end of the year start a league only season in Jan and regular tournament in March.

Both the NBA and NHL had played their regular seasons out and it was easier to bubble a smaller number of teams for a limited stretch of end of season games. Baseball insisted on playing in their own parks and refused any player limitations between games - a full roster of teams and the ability of visiting teams to "go out on the town" in many states is a stick of dynamite waiting to be lit...I'm hoping for conference games only (maybe a very regional scrimmage or exhibition (allow TV) for a chance to get game ready) between end of classes (pre-Thanksgiving) and mid to late January depending on when classes resume - the champion would be allowed to practice for any down the road "bubbled" NCAA tournament. Don't know how many of you were around for the measles season...Siena played 9 games from February to March in empty arenas - very disappointing for those of us that attended practices and went to each and every conference road game - our end of season was on the radio only with the exception of the Saturday morning Championship game - we won the NAC going 13-1 and won the conference tournament in an empty Hartford Civic Center before heading to Greensboro for our first crowd exposure since February and got out first NCAA win over the Cardinal...we all lived thru it

If you are going to make a statement like that, you had better be able to back it up. Please list the posters who are rooting against the season happening, and quote the posts in which they said or suggested something that led to your conclusion.

I just choose to be optimistic. We have no control and I’d rather hope for the best especially with months to go still. We will see how college football goes. I agree with Carm 100%— this is mainly on the players to buy in to make it happen. I’m trying to do my extremely small part as well.

Carm's quote could be extended to the general population - If people want to return to work, their discipline and commitment to the protocols has to be greater than their urge to be social...

Carm's quote could be extended to the general population - If people want to return to work, their discipline and commitment to the protocols has to be greater than their urge to be social... Based on this article www.washingtonpost.com/health/2020/07/31/georgia-children-covid-outbreak/ Siena will have their hands full and not just with the athletes ... saw on the news that some medical doctors are advising that college students get tested every 2 days ... don’t think we have reached that level of testing capacity yet
