Carm's quote could be extended to the general population - If people want to return to work, their discipline and commitment to the protocols has to be greater than their urge to be social... That is the crux of the matter. I’m not a big proponent of shuttering the economy, businesses, schools & everything under the sun. If people would just stick to the established protocols and use common sense around those at higher risk it would go along ways. Unfortunately from what I’ve seen lately especially among the teen and twenty-something contingent ... is not good. I’m not optimistic that when schools open (School Districts, Colleges & Universities) that we don’t have large outbreaks that will necessitate a stronger response than social distancing protocols. BTW just to be fair I’ll add a few stubborn adults as well. You know the one’s parading around in public buildings with no mask or one around their chin. Seriously, how hard is it to use a mask or keep some space? Hope I’m wrong and we can get back to what looks and feels more closer to normal.

Carm is an excellent leader and good cooperative citizen. What he says is exactly the way it has to be. I think we as a country do not have the necessary self discipline to combat a pandemic of this sort. We are spoiled!

Good news but not going to amount to much if the conferences keep making decisions on their own. Look at the debacle in football. SEC has determined it is fine to ship around the country and play all your conference games but has banned the intrastate rivalries with ACC teams. Makes no sense.

This makes sense ... being that MAAC teams are in states that have semi-tamed COVID19 it’s in better shape than other conferences

That's what I'm hoping (start in Jan). At THIS point, that seems reasonable. A lot will be determined after kids (of all ages) get in school.

NCAA cancels all fall sports championships. Looking like best case now for basketball is a shortened spring season. I assume the Orlando tournament is likely done at this point.

Doesnt mean football is cancelled. They can still play, the just wont recognize a champion. Great time for schools to pull away from the NCAA and crown their own champion. NCAA is fading quick, and this could be a big step in eliminating them from the process.

The NCAA has nothing to do with the college football playoff.
