I'm disappointed but not surprised, given what was said at the Program Enhancement Event and the response and lack of same which my communications with D'Arg and Br. Ed have produced.

Yup the program is pretty much dead.
If he goes .500 next year (which isn't that insane) then D'Arg will back him back again.
I really hope Siena takes a bath in lost revenue.

I was pretty sure Soso would be back- I certainly hope Siena takes this opportunity to reassign, retire whatever- just get Darg out of the AD chair- he is clearly over his head, I dont want him having any part in picking next coach.

Timing is key here. This is a vote of confidence for recruiting purposes IMO. Hopefully we land a couple of those top targets and give this team a talent injection.
Next year the pressure is fully on and I don’t think he’ll have much margin of error.
Also, we need a new AD. Give D’Arg a nice office job as VP but take away his hiring powers.

C ya Mike- didnt you say you were washing your hands of Siena program if Soso came back? I assume you'll want to retire from Siena board?

“Siena men's basketball fans can expect to see head coach Jimmy Patsos, who has three years remaining on his contract, back to lead the struggling Saints next season.”
3 years says it all

Another thought: JP obviously can’t come back with the same staff. Who is gone?
Manning is JP’s right hand man, would D’Arg force Manning to move on? Watson seems most expendable, need a good game coach perhaps with HC experience to replace him. Abe is a good guy and a really hard worker, I hope he stays around.

Message boards i don't read no stinking message boards.Your right this must mean there had to be some questions from the recruits. It gives them clarity early I'm for what ever helps this staff bring in needed talent.I may not agree with JP coaching or confidence going forward ,but i hope this helps him on the recruiting trail. No more excuses

Not only are players turning over at a disgusting rate of 70% now the staff departures needs to keep pace? This program is a $hitshow.

Jimmy may not be the best coach but man did he and his agent give Siena a tough lesson in contracts. I’ll bet they’re still scratching their heads wondering how the hell this happened. JP can be as lazy as he wants for 2 years, the man truly holds the keys to the castle. Kudos JP, kudos.

That is pretty said. Barring an announcement that Siena season ticket holders are guaranteed tickets for the NCAA Tourney I will not be renewing my season tickets. Can just cherry pick a few games for $5 to sit wherever I want in an empty arena.
