Kudos to Singelais for conducting the interview and asking the questions that I posted here last week needed to be asked and answered. Who was the fellow poster that roasted me for suggesting that JD be asked these questions by the local media? Well they have been asked and answered. Assuming that JD was being truthful, like it or not, at least we know who is coaching the Saints next season. Oh come on, you think Singelais really had anything to do with this? This was a Siena press release to recruits masquerading as a news article. Well I believe Mark posts on here from time to time... perhaps he can tell us how this article came to be?

Siena is showing it is a low major with decent facilities with this press release.
Coaching candidates want this job- you have resources at your fingertips unlike other schools.
While we may not have athleticism with this team, they can win with the right coach who know how to coach from behind and how to win two games in a row. It is NOT Jimbob Patsos and the current assistant coaches.
I truly do believe his staff has no clue how to coach these young men to any success.
I have never been a season ticket holder- but if I were you guys in the Albany area, stop sending money to the school. Support by watching online and cherry pick a few games to attend in person.
D'Arg is a blind mouse for sure. Bad day for Siena. It is almost baseball season yet?

I'll give Mark credit for interjecting his own thoughts between the quotes but make no mistake, this wasn't a result of him asking the right questions, it was a calculated move by the Siena administration to make this announcement now so it won't impact recruiting.

Ha. Those who thought they'd eat that many years on the contract were wishful thinkers. It's all about recruiting now.

I guess I have to look at the bright side (and it's 80 and blue sky sunny with Gulf temps near 68 today - perfection in Paradise), we can now look to come down next year in early January and stay through 3/1 and booking it will be easier from here. Anyone looking for a good seat in 106 for next year, mine will be open as will the not yet sold seat next to mine. The Saints ain't March-in in but this fan is March-in out.

Yeah I'm not surprised but a thought a single digit win season would possibly get a change. Siena has never bough-tout two years. He fails next year he's gone. Almost 100% sure that last year has no guarantee. If we don't win 20 games next year he should be fired. If he wins 20 next year he comes back but the following year better get to the NCAA tournament with a decent seed and maybe we'll extend you. This is what the next AD must demand.

Has to be alarming for Siena how many long-time fans are bailing. This is why D'Arg is almost certainly gone.

That is pretty said. Barring an announcement that Siena season ticket holders are guaranteed tickets for the NCAA Tourney I will not be renewing my season tickets. Can just cherry pick a few games for $5 to sit wherever I want in an empty arena. I'll be taking this approach right along with you. Fed up with this S--t.

Many on this Board predicted that JP would not be terminated. Siena's problems all flow downhill: The BOT are just a bunch of do nothing , Franciscan loyalists, who in my opinion should be elected by the students, alumni and faculty, not hand picked by the Franciscans. 2. Brother Ed is NOT , in my opinion, a dynamic leader, but is someone the Franciscans can rely on to push their outdated and unrealistic socialist agenda. 3. JD is a stuffed shirt who has been over his head for years. He knows how to play the Franciscans and is just trying to keep his job until retirement . His contract extension for JP is material evidence that Siena is poorly run at all levels, and has begun a death spiral. 4 Jp, is just a self promoter, ,who, caught a gullible JD who wanted a dynamic personality rather than a good up and coming assistant at a major school. I just pray that I, can ween off my loyalty to Siena, stop, going to, games or even reading this Board. The powers that be have killed my interest along with so many others.

Another thought: JP obviously can’t come back with the same staff. Who is gone? Manning is JP’s right hand man, would D’Arg force Manning to move on? Watson seems most expendable, need a good game coach perhaps with HC experience to replace him. Abe is a good guy and a really hard worker, I hope he stays around. Well we had Tobin Anderson what happened to him?
