"When asked if he might go looking for a new coach, the Rev. Kevin Mullen, Siena's school president, said, "Absolutely not." He even laughed, as if the question really didn't merit a response." Guess what...attendance NEEDS to take a hit. Father and Mitch can pick any seat in the house to watch this steamy pile of dogshit we have been forced to endure for 2.5 years.

I agree. Fr. Mullen thinks the world revovles aroung him. The Siena Alum and the terriffic Capital District fans, need to be considered. In my opinion the program must revovle around those people, who buy the tickets, make the donations, and give loyal support.
It's time to send a message to the Board of Trustees that the fans and alumni won't tolerate irrational self-centered decisions of Mullin, who won't admit he made a mistake.

In fairness to Fr kevin- the question asked minutes after the game ended. Hopefully Fr Kevin needs to talk to some of his “people” and think this thing thru. The pro and cons of letting Mitch finish the year.. and even if Mitch does step down—I highly doubt it will be a “firing” But I do agree attendance needs to take a massive hit

If we really want to see the games...watch them on time warner. Only way to send a message is NOT go to the TUC

Well the Siena admin is being awfully naive. They are gaining nothing by allowing this to continue. When you have not only nameless faceless posters but long term supporters actively calling for dismissal and advocating boycotts, something has to be done. Mitch shouldn't step down, he has worked too hard for too long. He's doing the best he can but it is not good enough... Give him a buyout and let's move on. The long term damage to the program could be immense otherwise.

Pick a date and promote it on the board! This way a massive amount of fans will not be at the games and the admin will see the negative impact.

Not saying Fr Kevin wasn't sincere with his reply but come on people - what did you expect him to say? Oh yeah we're going to remove Mitch one way or another during Finals break? Please.... and for the reporters this is reminiscent of Amedicore's statements of (ahem) facts and (ahem again) knowing based on inside knowledge....

"personal attacks" .. I don't think anyone personally attacked Mitch. The "small-time" media doesn't get the a large fanbase that has experienced plenty of success is very demanding.
As far as what Father Mullen said... not a surprise. If Mitch goes during the year it will have to be on his own. But the TUC is going to be a ghostown pretty soon.

Personal attacks is a BUNCH OF GARBAGE. Not one person I have seen on a board, or at the game has ever gone in an area that was not approriate. It's his coaching, it's his job, what he is paid to do.
