He put up 16 pts fairly efficiently on a bad shooting night. He's been back for 5 days and had 3 assists and 3 TOs. That team did steal the ball 270 times in D3 last year. Jimmy will get on him much like Downey did and keep him focused. I just don't know what to expect offensively out of White and Hymes doesn't have to be the PG. I'll take a 1 to 1 assist ratio out of our SG all year if he's putting up 16 a game. Cole would definitely give us another scorer but according to Kenpom he was less efficient offensively than both Brookins and Hymes last year overall so we can't expect he'll put the points up efficiently. I hear ya- but I dont relay on Ken Pom I use my eyes. Cole is one of the few players Siena has that can get his own shot off( White is the other)If Cole doesn't get the Waiver- I am 100% certain we will see 4 freshmen and Poole starting sooner rather than later. Having said that I expect both Evan and Imoh to play a ton of minutes. In Silas case coming off bench might actually help him- I think he is too pumped to start games and makes some foolish mistakes. Imoh (and Evan) both played much better in second half. As you know I am a fan of Evan and I think he will have a good year this year. I see the same potential in both Cole and White. If either can get the job done, I'd be all for it. Fact is, neither have played in an official game yet with this team. We have zero idea of what to expect when they are under the lights. I'd rather not rely on Oliver or Audu for offense either and would love Cole to fall back on but his history of gunning and turning the ball over needs to be carefully watched. Would rather he and White supplemented Hymes to start with as opposed to taking the lead.

My biggest worry now might be Lavon's foul issues. How do we keep that kid on the court?

I'm quite sure this STAFF will watch any potential gunning... we do not have the PW as coach any more. I like what Jimmy as done so far- it was clear the freshmen were for the most part the best players- but Jimmy didn't hand anything to any of them. I am confident Jimmy will play the best players the most min and anyone who has seen the team practice play several times has a good idea who those players are

One of the fouls was bullshit..NJCU players was coming down and tripped himself .. it was right in front of myself and Big SaintG-- Lavon never touched him.Big Saint tried to explain to ref that NJCU player tripped over foul line-- but ref was NOT buying it.

RE: Wolfe vs Bisping. I know Wolfe is the most athletic on the team but what exactly did Bisping do so bad tonight?
5 pts, 5 boards, 2 assists, 0 TOs in 14 minutes. Hit a three and made both his FTs. Take that all year.

Take that all year. Almost all of Bretts points and boards came in garbage time.( last 6 min of game) Brett can give us a few min here and there, and is certainly 5 more fouls- but Brett is painfully slow a foot and that really gets exposed. He is probably our weakest front court defender

Noticed 52 fouls in the game tonight. was that because of the new rules or just a sloppy game ? FWIW, 58 fouls were called in Manhattan's exhibition game

Baring injuries I dont see Brett getting more than a few min a game and as Wolfe develops I dont see much time left for Brett--if Wolfe red shirts, then Brett will get 5 to 10 min a game

FWIW, 58 fouls were called in Manhattan's exhibition game if a defender touched a player with ball .. ref's pretty much called a foul. No hand checking at all. Speed will kill this year and deep teams will have an advantage( at least early in year until players adjust)

I'm just saying that Bisping has a role in this league. When he goes to the line, he makes them. If he's open from three, good chance it's going in. All I'm saying. And he's 6-8, he can take all day to shoot.

We have seen the players several times now- not much doubt Brett is way behind JO/Long/Silas .. and Wolfe even at his weight is probably a better defender and much better offensively than Brett. If Brett plays better-- he will play more. And it shouldn't be surprising Brett didn't get much play on a horrible team last year. Time will tell
