Thought this might be a fun topic. There are a few but I think I would choose the walk on Jorden King,

I expected Sloan Seymour to hit a ton of threes and he didn't hit ANY. Biggest surprise to me by a country mile.

How about Sammy Friday. Left for dead and came back alive in a big way.

Overall - Manny Camper, dude even averaged over 5 assists a game in the last 3 to go with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Never in my wildest dream did I think he could improve that much. Based on exceeding preseason expectations - Kyle Young, expected absolutely nothing out of him as a freshman so to have him finish averaging 15 and 14 per 40 minutes is amazing. Based on exceeding midseason expectations - Sammy Friday, if you told me end of January we will be fine down the stretch when Elijah is in foul trouble cause we've got Sammy I would have recommended you see a mental health professional.

I was really down on Friday for much of the year, glad for him that he finished playing the best basketball of his career.

I believe I said that I expected like 9 & 7 ish from Manny this year in about 30 mpg. That's about 11 & 8.5 in 36 mpg.
He averaged about 14 & 10..so he definitely surpassed expectations. However, he didn't really add anything new to his game.
He just became better and more aggressive in doing what he already did well. Love that kid.

Next year you could argue Siena has two of the best three players returning in Pickett and Camper. Studs.

Easy... Many Camper. Thought he was going be good, but not this good and a 1st team all MAAC player. Congrats to him for all of the hardwork and coaching staff for putting in a position to succeed.
Too many on here, hard on Sammy Friday all season. I think most forget that he had a season ending knee injury last year that required surgery. IMO that injury impacted his performance most of this season. At times limping and wearing that heavy knee brace all year. He showed at times that he is a very capable MAAC player. Playing his best basketball at the end of the season.

Lets not forget Manny's shooting stats were up tremendously across the board-- -- his FT % went from 52% to 65.4% and while I don't consider Manny a 3 point shooter you had to guard him out there since his 3 point pct went from an ugly 13% to 33.3%.. those are some pretty impressive increases in his shooting ability. I thought Manny would improve, but his improvement was off the charts Sammy finished season strong The difference in Gary and Jordan from last November to now is astounding--someone sent me a stat today that since Feb 1st Jordan is 17/38 from 3 point land good for .447 from 3 point territory - he became a very effective weapon for Carm over the last month and half of the season

Surprise to me was that these guys pulled together as a team. I didn’t see that happening at the beginning of the year.

Before the season, a lot of us thought he would be a liability in late game situations. So glad he proved us wrong!

He shot the 3 more and better but he actually shot 2's worse. I think Gary will get passed on the depth chart by a few people and King might be ahead of him. He's SOOO athletic but he's not very skilled at all.

You can't teach height. I expect Harris to improve.

You can't teach height. I expect Harris to improve. He's going to probably get more impactful on D which will be his niche in addition to transition. However, his ball control, shooting, and even 2 pt finishing just isn't good enough right now. With Tate and others coming in, there will be a lot of competition at the 4 behind Manny which I think will be Harris' best spot long term. And I just don't think Harris is going to play over Carpenter. I'm going to come out and say it. Pickett/Carey/Carpenter is probably the best overall 1-3 as of now. I think once Camper graduates though, Harris' stock will soar as a face up 4 man. If Siena gets another great guard and another big, I'd almost think that he'd do well to redshirt next year. He could work on his FTs and shooting....and make a huge impact at the 4 spot as an upperclassman....and go all Manny on the league.
