Not a player but, Carm's adjustment to the first chair was seamless and I love how so many of the Saints developed and improved as the season progressed. This team was fun to watch and was peaking in March. I hoped Carm was up to the task but never expected this! Sent from my LM-V405 using proboards I was gonna jump into this thread to say this. The fact that we can't nail down ONE most improved player says volumes about the coaching. When one or two guys improve, it's natural to assume that a player tapped into something innate. Sure. coaching probably played a role. But when it's almost everyone, that means it's systemic - coaches, support staff, systems for managing players on and off the court. When you consider that this was a solid team with some talent already, the jump is even more impressive. We also saw considerable growth regarding in-game management. I still think there is room for improvement, but this team went from "can't close, loses focus, gives up runs" to "weathers the storm, counter-attacks, stays in control (something Wednesdays' announcers-not exactly homers-mentioned repeatedly). That's a testament to maturing players, but it's not all about them.

Would a 6'4" 45/35/80 player surpass Harris on the depth chart? He would surpass Carey as well especially since he can dunk and play PG!

I’m not too worried about the roster changing that big. Who would want to leave where this program is #1 Players that aren’t/won’t be happy with their minutes. I think that eliminates the four returning starters. All with probably play at least 30 minutes next year. Tate, Carpenter and Golson (BK too) still have to prove it to earn their minutes. Hard to see them any of them breaking into the starting line-up. Young probably first big off the bench. King will have some competition but he'll get minutes. I think we add a big who battles Tate for the start at center (grad transfer) and that's probably it. Maybe a sitout transfer too depending on how many openings we have. That means Sutherland, Ratliff and Darwiche who don't have minutes to play most likely.

Because Carpenter is a guard. not a SF. And yes, we have the recruiting success to have legit SF's unlike our MAAC counterparts. I can see a 3 guard set occasionally, but i like having a tough matchup at the 3 for other MAAC teams. Harris' lightbulb ever goes on, he's an all league player. Not sure if he can pass Carey, who really came on the last few weeks. BUT i can see Aiden eating to Dons minutes, and so can he possibly after practicing against him for the last 3 months.

I’d also expect Carm to try and reduce the minutes that Pickett, Carey and Camper. Of course that all depends on carpenter being as good as kk expects,

In Carm’s offense the difference between a 2 and a 3 is non existent. We’re getting closer and closer to playing positionless basketball. Pickett King Harris Camper Carpenter Carey can co-exist in many combinations.
Pigeonholing guys as strictly a guard or a SF is old school. Carm isn’t recruiting or playing that way. He’s all about athleticism and versatility. Just look how the roster is shaping up and the type of player he’s been recruiting.
Times they are a changin’!

I don’t know what HJ is talking about regarding a SF. Harris doesn’t create for others nor shoot the 3 well. He’s barely even a SF himself. Kid has tons of potential but that’s all it is right now. Only thing he’s actually good at is running and jumping. If he didn’t have that he wouldn’t be in D1 cause he doesn’t have skills.

With Camper's work ethic and athletic abilities, his trajectory does not allow me to believe that he will be under 30 MPG next season. I actually think he's the second leading MAAC POY candidate behind Jalen.
Back on the original topic, I was most surprised this year by Kyle Young, just because all of the video I had watched on him made him look very slow and unathletic. I realize he is not a plus athlete, but he is just much more mobile and quick off the floor than I thought he would be. Depending on the Sammy/TBD at center, I suspect that Kyle will get the majority of the minutes in the middle. I think he will become a rebounding monster like he was in HS.
