Who would the majority take now that Pitino is off the table? If we could get Becker, I'd be over the moon. The more I hear of Caputo, the more I like him as an option as well.

There is nothing about his results coaching, his character or his background that isn't exciting to me as far as being our next head coach. I understand people's concern about the DII. I think he has the "it" factor. He is going to be a winner somewhere and I would like it to be Siena. I've always said to be successful you have to have talent, work long and hard, and finally be a little lucky. Well I think Patrick will be able to accomplish all of that. And some of his luck has the same last name that he has !!!

Other than RP, you guys are focused on current coaches/assistants. Are there any coaches like Paul Hewitt who are out of the game a year or two but have what it takes to fix a very "lost it's way" program. As posted elsewhere PH would be my number one choice (if some of you could fantasize about paying RP $900K, maybe PH could be persuaded for $650k.) Are there any other guys like him out there that come to mind?

I dream pretty big. Looks like we’re getting Rick. Welcome back. Thank you. I never really left (Siena) just stopped reading/posting. Too negative for my taste.

Did anyone have JC on their radar? Seems to give all the right answers, let's see if it leads to results.

DG I was dead wrong! (thought Mitch would be good and even JP...) With my track record I decided to stay out of the coaching conversation until Siena selected one. I love JC's optimism, enthusiasm and energy. A refreshing change of pace. I'm a lifer as a fan, so here's hoping that JC does have "all the right answers" Slàinte to the future!

Did anyone have JC on their radar? Seems to give all the right answers, let's see if it leadwws to results. I hope so, he’s definitely enthusiastic and says all the right things....I’m a bit concerned about the current roster less Prince Horn Nico and possibly Penn. A lot of pundits here didn’t give Rex much of a chance winning 10 games next year with 3 of those 4. The current roster as is isn’t competitive at the MAAC level and desperately lacks athleticism. Smithen maybe Camper helps some but JC is going to need to land 3-4 athletes and I just don’t mean warm bodies, he’s going to need kids that can play at a productive level. I’m willing to give him a mulligan next year only because he’s so far behind the 8 ball. I think anything that falls near 500 with this bunch is a win. It’ll be interesting to see if he can land any surprises and to see what he does with his staff. I can’t wait to see him side court and how he handles the roster. Actually looking forward to next season for a change.
