Bullshit on regular students - tons of kids transfer on from HVCC and excel HVCC transfers plenty of students to RPI that do very well. I'm not sure those Texas and Kansas Jucos have the same academic standards. Those welding "degrees" just don't cut it. Ask St Bona's.

Siena should be consistently going after recruits / tranfers from the A10. Especially when those schools that are located in the northeast!

Side note.. sienasaints : No surprise here. Bill Raftery says @sienambb's @rdotmoore25 would be captain (and head coach) of his All-Onions Team. #onionsdoubleorder

Bullshit on regular students - tons of kids transfer on from HVCC and excel HVCC is a good local school with legit courses. Some of the these B. S. Jucos in the middle of nowhere are more what I was referring to.

Does anyone feel that Brandwijk will make a jump in contributing next year? For him to have red-shirted last season to improve on his game and still not play this season is a little discouraging. I really hope he can show everyone some progress soon!

Actually it shows HOW MUCH I CARE... I can't stand Iona. Losing to them for the third straight year and the millionth time in the TUC is such a kick in the ass. Either way we're not going to the NCAA tournament... if we didn't go - Iona going is the worst possible result. I can't be alone here - help me out people??!? Guess what Iona only loses Washington........they'll farm in more guys and probably win it again. While we're *hoping* to be competitive thanks to shitty recruiting. We lose all of our great coaches but they keep Mr. 80's porn stache and keep beating us. Doesn't that piss you off? No way I would have wanted to go meekly with an exit on Saturday. That was awesome and, yes, we beat the top seed. You are upset we didn’t beat Iona. Well, if we don’t play them we will never beat them. If they are still alive, then I want us to be the one that beats them. We slugged it out with them on short rest and came up just short. Kudos to them. We have to get better, not bitter. Correction. Siena beat the top seed minus their second best player who happens to be a MAAC first teamer and better than anyone on Siena's roster. His athleticism and length very well may have made a difference on Nico's performance. He most certainly would've impacted the game and how Siena defended. Comparatively, If Siena was without nico they lose by 30 with or without the full Monmouth roster. I think next year's team will look very much like Marist did when they had Chavaughn Lewis. Look for a real bumpy year next season finishing around .200-.400 depending entirely on the return and health of Clareth

Is it that hard to let fans celebrate a fun win and a MAAC final? I know you would have been more pleased with a loss. It was a great atmosphere and a fun time. And last I knew every team has to deal with injuries, just like we did in the quarters.

SF may think Monmouth would have won based on what you can see on paper, and 10,000 impartial experts may have predicted a Monmouth victory with a full team, but then there's always that little thing about having to actually play the game. Strange things do happen. Sometimes the underdog does win the game, against all odds and all rational calculation. Saints lost to a full Monmouth squad by four points at Monmouth a week before the tournament. Not out of the realm of possibility that they could have been right there again. By the way..........is that Siena win over Monmouth available on-line anyplace?

I think they will end up right around .500, but we have to see how the roster shakes out.

Have to look on the bright side.
Nico is not only a very talented basketball player.
As or possibly even more important is his expectations of himself and his will to tap into his emotion to compete and win will not only raise the level game of his game but the games of the guys around him as well.
If he stays as he should if the people in his ear around him are doing their job, he will go down as one of the all time Siena greats when he gets, yes, this team, this coming year and the year after, back to the NCAA'S.
He will continue to get healthier and stronger and will rise above the likes of Micah Seaborn (sp?) and others like him in the MAAC.
If Nico gets in all his teammates ears this spring and summer guys like WB and Friday will come in buff and full of confidence. Sorry MJ, but the "ceiling" will "not" be the limit.
Nico will lead the league in scoring next year with a 20 (+) avg. but be efficient in doing it.
Shivers and Richard will be scoring 12-14 a night as will Friday and WB.
The talent is there in those five. Our new point guard will surprise many with getting easy buckets for both himself and for those around him.
Mark my words. If these guys put in the "extra" work, and Nico works the hardest and leads by example, this team will be very good, and it will happen quick.
If the players are reading this, take this board and the many naysayers on here that say you guys all suck, and will be horrible next year, and use that as motivation to prove your own Sienna faithful wrong.
Now is the time to to look in the mirror, make no excuses and get to work....on your game...on your bodies...on your conditioning.
If yoy dont, this will just be a lost opportunity that will just fulfill the guys on this board thinking they are, always right.
Dont let that happen. Take advantage of this huge, huge opportunity. Just do it! Starting next November you can start to reap the rewards. Best of luck. To a man, I hope everyone one of you takes this post to heart.

I think they will end up right around .500, but we have to see how the roster shakes out. Hahaha agree—when Siena was 4-11 I knew they would come back- he is not “stinky” Jimmy—he isn’t Mitch – I’d be shocked with a .200 winning pct..look at his career, he will somehow scratch out double figures wins—that’s why he has survived 13 seasons as head coach, without ever winning a regular season title – he seldom wins on high side, but he seldom wins on low side either. There is a reason why he is called so-so Jimbo
