Yeah, he doesnt get it. I'm proud as hell with how these kids played this weekend. If I'm going to lose, thats the way to do it. Leaving it all on the floor against the conferences best, down to the wire. That game could have gone either way several times. It's sports. Someone has to win. Someone has to lose. We beat the best team......... and lost to the mercenaries - which now are dwarfing us in MAAC titles. God forbid they win an NCAA game...only thing we've got over them. I was rooting like hell for St. Peter's after our win. I can't stand Iona - I hope whoever they play in the NCAA tournament beats them by 50. You're a Cowboys fan.......would you have rather lost to the Packers or Giants? ?? Not what you said. You said you wished the Monmouth win never happened??? I actually wanted to play Iona and end the jinx against them. We came close but didnt do it. Define "Dwarfing?" Is it like 10 to 3 MAAC titles? If they're dwarfing us, what are they doing to the other MAAC schools?

10 to 5 in titles, and Iona had a several year head start.

Why concede defeat and wish for a lost to MU when Iona still gets a shot at the title? If I'm a fan I want a shot at anyone for the title and even more so against the team I "hate". I don't wish for a loss in the semis. For the record, I am a Siena fan and a MAAC fan. I root for Siena's success, not the failure of other programs.

We'll see what happens with Nico. JP desperately needs him to stay around. We're already losing a ton of talent. The incoming frosh better be good and we better add a couple of more pieces. Last year was a brutal loss... Iona just keeps reloading. I hate to say it but had we just went meekly against Monmouth from a fan perspective I would have felt better. This is the worst to win that game and then lose to Iona in OT in the title game on our home floor again. What a kick in the balls... MTS that is a new low. Really it would have been better to lose in the semis than to lose in OT in the finals. Just withdraw your fan card and be done with it. I think he is going with the idea that it would be easier to justify letting JP go had we gone meekly vs Monmouth. Personally, that memory will be one that sticks with me for a long, long time. Just an epic comeback and performance.

I can't stand Iona. Losing to them for the third straight year and the millionth time in the TUC is such a kick in the ass. Either way we're not going to the NCAA tournament... if we didn't go - Iona going is the worst possible result. I can't be alone here - help me out people??!? Guess what Iona only loses Washington........they'll farm in more guys and probably win it again. While we're *hoping* to be competitive thanks to shitty recruiting. We lose all of our great coaches but they keep Mr. 80's porn stache and keep beating us. Doesn't that piss you off? No way I would have wanted to go meekly with an exit on Saturday. That was awesome and, yes, we beat the top seed. You are upset we didn’t beat Iona. Well, if we don’t play them we will never beat them. If they are still alive, then I want us to be the one that beats them. We slugged it out with them on short rest and came up just short. Kudos to them. We have to get better, not bitter.

Nothing to do with JP getting fired. He likely wasn't getting fired no matter what. Just losing another championship to that team in out own building is like sticking a fork in your eye. And don't get bitter, get better is GuyF favorite saying you're killing me now 😳 The play of the game was in regulation Siena ball under a minute and Much stole it away from Wright and got fouled which Much made both. Brett tied it with 2 to force OT but THAT play changed the game IMO.

Bottomline it was a one point OT loss. Deal with it.

And as far as the saying goes…when the shoe fits…. And it does in this case.

Graduation Losses: Monmouth - Robinson, Hornbeak, Brady, James, Stewart SPU - Wyche, Welton, Baker, Patterson Iona- Washington, Cassell, Severe, Bessick Siena - Wright, Ogunyemi, Bisping, Long Fairfield - Sidibe, S. Smith Canisius - Valenti, Douse Rider - Thomas, Taylor, Lundy, Carey Quinny - Harris, D. Smith Niagara - Taylor Marist - Hart, Brooks Manhattan - Wilson
Most established bigs returning are probably:
Man - Waterman, Crawford Mon - D. Quinn Niagara - D. Robb Quinny - C. Daniels FF - Milin Rider - D. Eke (transfer)
That's not overly intimidating.
Best returning real PG is Ricky McGill. After that, Rider's Stevie Jordan, Niagara's K. Dukes, and CC's Malik Johnson. or non-PG combo's like Dixon and Z. Turner.
Not quite world beaters either.
The league's returning strength is at the SG/SF position but that alone doesn't guarantee wins.

Out of the four teams that made it to the semis Iona was on the bottom of my list of the teams I wanted to win it all. Of course Siena was at the top!!! Iona just reloads every single year. Do I like how they do it, absolutely not. Maybe Siena heeds to find a happy medium? I don't know just thinking out loud. I do know however, after the euphoria of how Siena ended their season wears off if the Siena Admin and coach doesn't show signs of a new way of conducting "business" I'm rethinking my season ticket package.

Personally, I felt an emotional letdown after last nights game... And I loved it. I didnt like the fact that Siena lost, obviously. I loved that feeling of the hurt you get from your team losing a BIG game. The last few years were so tough because we weren't in any big games. Sat through a lot of games that left me with little change of emotion at the outcome, because the stakes were low. The Monmouth game was so much fun, I left the game on a high emotional state, that I hadn't felt in a long time attending the Siena games. Conversely, I left last nights game on an emotional low that I hadn't felt in a long time watching Siena games. That's the beauty of playing in BIG games. The strong emotional state you get after a win or loss. Some big games your team is gonna win, some big games your team is gonna lose... The emotional stakes are higher in the big games... Good or bad, your going to feel SOMETHING. That's is the feeling I have been missing from the games for the last few years. I love the emotional highs/lows of Siena competing in the big games. If I didn't want to enjoy the emotional high of a big win, or risk the emotional low o a big loss, I would just root for Marist, so I wouldn't have to risk being let down emotionally. It's a risk/reward thing. Also, I could care less if it was Iona or anyone else... It is Siena I care about. BTW, doesn't Iona lose Severe & Casell also?
