From Coach Watson on a D3 scheduling board (post original from MAAC board) - Siena College is looking for a home game for December 2016. Willing to pay a guarantee.
I'm actually OK with that - Siena needs a home game and hard to find someone willing to start on the road this late. A D2/D3 team does not hurt your RPI unlike a low D1 team would. The MAAC usually does not allow teams to play bottom 50 teams or non D1 teams but I imagine that rule was waived this year with the short announcement of the new schedule.
For that road game Siena should be able to start a decent series or get some cash.
The MAAC should have waited until 2017-18 for the 18 game schedule. No idea why they rushed it this year (though I do like 18 games).
EDIT: The post was taken down

I bet everyone is glad they put their money down early on those $300 tickets. They wouldn't have had to implement this "early" if they had listened to me in the first place.

Will be interesting to see how many other MAAC teams have to play D3 teams. It wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t already have an incredibly bad home schedule. I swear if with other game we start is a home and home with someone like Colgate or New Hampshire. I will drop my season tickets and start cherry picking the few good home game we get

I just paid Monday. If we get a D3 school on the schedule we should start and email blast to Darg and the President and then sick 1970 on them

With the loss of Kevin H., Shen will be rebuilding and a home game with them could bring a UA type crowd to the TUC to see Tommy H. begin his Siena career - guarantee would only have to cover a Yankee Trails bus from CP! PS - MTS is turning stalking into an art form

MAAC has temporarily suspended its rule that you cant schedule bottom 50 RPI programs. So yeah I expect Jimmy will add Loyola, Colgate, Binghamton or New Hampshire type team to schedule.. I really cant understand the rush to do this ..this year any potential gain by top MAAC programs will be offset by most MAAC teams picking up 2 dogs to replace games. I am ok with change- just not thrilled about the rush to do it this late in year campuswatch.buffalonews.com/2016/06/15/maac-votes-cut-conference-hoops-season-20-18-games/

I really don't see the sense in this. Does each team chose who they aren't going to play 2 games against? This arrangement barely makes sense in the ACC. This is freaking stupid. There's got to be more to the story.

MAAC is run by dimwits can I tell you how much I hate being in this conference! This makes sense. However, when Monmouth failed to receive an at-large bid, the move to an 18 in conference schedule should have been approved in a matter of weeks, not months, in order to allow teams to schedule up. The MAAC is a lower ranked conference for a reason- weak Commissioner and weaker presidents and ADs of the various members
