I dont think that it matters who starts to Manhattan. Lavon is going to get his 25-30 minutes a game, and Oliver is going to get his. What makes me nervous about Ryan vs Manhattan is the full court press and pressure defense that Manhattan plays. Will he be able to handle the pressure with the man in his chest and be able to put the ball on the floor and make a play? I like Lavon better in that situation because Lavon CAN take his man off the dribble and straight to the basket, or hit the pull up jumper from the foul line. I think Lavon needs to start shooting the 3 ball more often to keep the defense honest. Teams know he can play inside right now, but let him step out to the 3pt line, which is going to open everything up for him. He makes a shot and then all of a sudden his confidence is sky high, and he can shot fake, and take the ball to the hoop for a dunk.

He lied Which time? You take what you want from what he says and believe what fits your agenda...I will believe the coach and what I see...practice is where you earn playing time and where the coach puts the pieces together...Lavon plays everywhere in practice then plays where he is needed in the game..Patsos understands Lavon's skill set and that's why he is listed as he is and Patsos' describes him like he does...Lavon is very early in his career... his potential due to his skill set has yet to be realized... Agenda? Why would any Siena fan have an agenda against what position your son plays? You can go by what JP "says," and I'll go by the games. Lavon hasn't played the 2 guard for one minute, out of the 680 minutes the team has played this season. You're the only person on this board that thinks your son has played the 2 guard this season. Just becaue you can dribble the ball between your legs doesn't make you a guard. He's barely a 3 in the MAAC. I said this in November, he's too big to cover wing players in this conference. It's a fact. He'd be better off in the Big East or ACC because the SF's there are 6'6"-6'7". Not the case in the MAAC. Lavon is: 75% PF, 25% SF and 0% 2G I know that hurts his NBA chances(YOUR agenda), but......

Wright is without a doubt the best freshman on the team but I think Long has the higher ceiling. I don't see Wright ever being more than a Ronald Moore type (which is absolutely great) while I think Long could develop into MAAC Player of the Year.

PPC, not looking to get into a debate but can you help me understand two things? If Patsos truly feels Lavon can play the 2 and he has the skill set to play the 2 at this level, at this point in his career why has he not played at the 2 all year despite that being the main weakness on the team so far this year, while Patsos has played numerous players at the 2 to try and solve the issue? Also how has the big lineup helped the team? It has slowed Lavon's development and the only decent win was against Rider. Lost to the three best teams they have played while giving up 93pts to Canisius and 87pts to Iona. We all are entitled to our opinions. I just do not see the benefit of the big lineup so far. Far enough. ..saying Lavon can play the 2-4 does not mean he is a better option playing at any one of those positions than his teammates. .just like saying he can play the pg does not mean he is a better option than Wright or Hymes...it is a fact that Patsos believes Lavon has the ballhandling skills to play those positions. .. as for the Canisius and Iona games..Lavon played 18 and 15 mins is those games and I believe his absence affects the team on the defensive end of the floor more than anything. .Lavon did a pretty good job defending Mason in the Niagara game and Myles in the Rider game... Lavon's minutes as well as his opportunities have decreased over the last 5 games and that has hurt his confidence. .that is the issue here...the reason is because other players have stepped up and earned more time..Oliver having his breakout is good for the team..he has assumed that 2g spot and Lavon is the one replaced because of it...that's competition as a DI player...I told you guys Brett has taken over the 4 spot with his play...both Oliver and Bisping have dealt with sitting and getting pulled for mistakes from day 1....They have overcome that...now Lavon has to and time will tell how long it takes.. Lavon is a freshman competing with sophomores and Jr's for playing time...and so are JO White and Wolfe...it is what it is as each one has their own challenges ....Lavon's is confidence. ..he will contribute when he stops playing not to make a mistake.

I think this will be great for Long. Off the bench he can let the game come to him and do what he does best. I think he is pressing at the start most nights, almost like he is nervous to pick up a quick foul. Long will be the best one of this class, he just needs to develop a little more mentally and make the adjustments to D1 ball. Sorry IndianSaint it was another poster That was me. I just think he will be the best, honestly I don't care who the best is as long as we are a 20+ win team. Wright is clearly the best right now! That we can all agree on.

I'm happy with all the freshmen..no need to rank them.
Actually the line up that I think gives us the best chance is Brett at 5( he is too slow to play 4 vs jaspers) Long at 4 ( where he belongs) 3 Poole , White at 2 and Wright at 1.. Bring Hymes in at 2--Oliver at 3 Wolfe at 4 and Silas at 5

I agree you can't play your game when you are playing not to make a mistake. I will probably get ripped here for posting this but I am not a big fan of the way Patsos yanks players out of the game so quick when they make a mistake. Sometimes I think we forget this is a rebuilding year because the team has won more games so far than most expected. I just do not see the benefit of pulling players so quickly, especially freshmen. Next season is the year to make a move to the top 4 of the MAAC.

I don't like when he yanks them and leaves them out for a while, that discourages players from taking chances and can lead to freshman losing confidence. Mitch was the worst with that, Oliver or Audu would miss one shot last year and be buried on the bench the rest of the game, never gave them a chance to get any confidence.

There is no way Lavon will ever play in the NBA. If Eddie and Kenny couldn't make the cut ... Well Ill leave it at that... Lavon has a chance to be a solid mid-major player at the PF but an NBA player that's a different ballgame fellas!

Hymes has made me less scratch my head at him and more think wow he is coming along. He is a great 2nd outlet on the break and in the hal court he takes it to the basket quicker than anyone. He has learned the drop it down to the bigs when the second level commits to him which is key. He would have even more assists if he played more and the bigs could handle quick passes. I think his minutes go up as he buys into defense and takes care of the ball. The occasional turnover is going to happen to anyone.

PPC - HJ only had one agenda-to have you come buy a bunch of wings and burgers. Stop going to Wolfs and head to Stout. On all other accounts regarding the team he is generally right on the spot,

He's had some of his best games in that role. Hymes might provide early offense. We've started games kind of slow on the offensive end. Hymes could provide an early spark. Could be our version of Chaz Willams

The downside is its almost a garuntee ou have to go zone with him in the. He should play on the court at the same times as Bisping.

Long would do well concentrating on the PF position. I don't see an NBA invite at the wing position. This "he can play multiple positions" thing is not beneficial to the team. We will be an outstanding player at the 4.
