I know people would like to continue to believe that the non-conference results are meaningless but had we won those four games at Harvard, Yale, Colgate, and Cal Poly we would be sitting on a 14 seed needing one of 5 teams to lose in their conference tourney to move up to a 13 seed. Instead we need an upset to avoid the PIG and 3 upsets to get a 15 seed.

It's way too early to be talking about NCAA seeding.
A lot can happen in the tournament...even if Siena has a top 2 seed. And SPU's defense is playing really well.
Can't take anything for granted.

Additionally, just pencilling in wins over the two best teams in the Ivy and the best PL team is ridiculous. Yeah, we prob should have beaten Yale. And yeah, CP would help. But you really can’t ask for more than 2-2 in 4 game road swing against 3 teams that are just flat out better than you.

LOL, too early to be talking about NCAA seeding but perfectly fine to be discussing our depth chart and who is going to get minutes next year?

Don’t think anyone said it was meaningless just that with a young team (and first year HC with new pieces) it wasn’t a surprise we struggled early. We had the Yale game won and they might be better than Xavier. Cal Poly was a stinker a long ways from home. Colgate with Jalen out we were perplexed. Harvard we had our chances for sure. This year I just want to dance. With the way Carm is recruiting hopefully he gets us to a level where we can get 11-12-13 seeds.

Man has the Maac taken a nose dive. Agreed. The MAAC schools will never push Ensor out so hopefully he realizes that under his leadership the conference has gone from a solid mid major conference into a low mid major. I know it’s wishful thinking but I’d love for a tougher commissioner who asked for more of an investment from schools who haven’t funded their programs sufficiently. And more importantly if the school couldn’t afford it I would like the commissioner to guide the school to a conference that made more sense financially. But since we are a catholic school in a predominantly catholic conference it will be more of the same going forward.

The commissioner works for the school presidents he isn’t pushing anyone, they own him and will own his replacement.

The commissioner works for the school presidents he isn’t pushing anyone, they own him and will own his replacement. Good morning. Sometimes a mans got to stand up for his principles. I was in a similar situation at work and pushed around by people who thought they were better than me. They weren’t. I stood up for myself and told my bosses where to go and how they were doing things wrong. You don't always win. I lost my job and was unemployed for a year before finally having to move to Troy to find work. I don't regret it. If you can’t do your job because your bosses are fools, it’s not a place to work. Go Saints.

I don’t disagree but the presidents will interview candidates and given the fiscal realities they have to deal with I doubt they will be convinced by the applicants to commit to the expenditures necessary to alter the MAAC landscape so whoever takes the job will have to accept the constraints. That said the MAAC can and has been in the teens in the rankings so even with the current constraints mid major status is possible. If St Peters can be competitive every team in the MAAC can as well. Get the right coaches who are able to get the players for their systems and it can be done. But this league will never attain The status of the A10.

Mostly agree, especially about the a10 and whatnot but how long has it been since the conference has even been in the teens? I am afraid that there are too many teams in the maac to break into the teens again, and not enough teams willing or able to do anything about it. The only chance like you said is the coaching.
