Greely is listed as 6'7" SF--looks to be same type player as Thomas Huerter, Now that we have verbal from Jonathan Joseph, Montague doesn't make much sense either

Maybe I'm wrong but didn't Siena suit up the MAAC's top rebounder and the MAAC's top shot blocker (and DPOY) last night? And, if I'm not correct, aren't they both returning next year? Siena's top 5 is very good ... best in the MAAC. Question is what kind of depth they'll have in 2016/2017. I expect Smithen to be a player that pushes for big minutes. I like what LaRose brings to the table ... question is does he catch up to the speed of the game. I thought Fisher got a bum rap all season and expect him to be much improved. Based on what little I know of Joseph, he appears to be perfect for the point of the zone press. I like next year's team a lot. If they can, somehow, stay injury free that should compete for the top of the maac and ncaa's. How is a player that puts up goose eggs repeatedly getting a bum rap? Does he mature into a better player, don't know. he's slow, lacks quickness and hops There are a major issues with this kid (has a nice outside shot but that's not where we need him) I do know he should NEVER have gotten minutes over Silas. LaRose is gritty and can shoot but suffers from a lack of quickness and never saw any time in games when we faced speed. What does that tell you? Sorry but we need to recruit more athletic guys you can't have a bench that can't play. Neither of these guys (including Cam) would have gotten off Moreheads bench.

Maybe we will have a ship come open That would follow our HC past performance record at Loyola. Regularly scheduled roster roulette, coaching staff included. Went back and checked myself after talking with one of our former players who couldn't remember that many four year guys. Greg Manning, however, is one of them.

Don't let crazy eyes get him. We always say guards are what win in the MAAC. The Iona/Manhattan teams that have won in recent memory usually play 1 dominant big (Glover, Laury, Rhamel Brown) and surround them with athletes. I'm not sure Fisher will be that starting caliber big, but I also don't think you're going to find one this late in the recruiting process. Montague looks like a freak, he'd be a good pickup to me.

If you can land and have room for Montague...I think you go for it. Whether the kid works out or not...he looks like he has the upside of an all-around player. The more guys you pursue like that the better your program will be. Some of them will work out and be game changers like a Nico. Some of them won't but at least you tried to get that high level athlete who can help change your program. A year from now we'll be panicking with the seniors leaving. You need to find 4 more starter caliber players to replace them and give Nico some guys to play with. Taking a flyer on Montague is start.

Verbal Commits also lists offers from Seton Hall, Canisius, Fairfield and Rider . . . plus a ton of schools having medium interest including Siena . . . looks like he would be a tough get.

A tough get is a good get in the vast majority of cases. A tough get is a very good thing. If you aren't in play you can't land them.

They must think so.....it's easy to speculate on the two that would be unhappy right now, NOT including Paige. Greely looks like the new Bisping. ps--I dont think we're very involved with Truehart anymore. His team plays Friday morning at the TUC, and I don't expect our head coach to be there. I thought ST was high on Siena's list (just going by comments earlier). Any one know what changed?

Lets face it next year sophomore class will be a six man class (Nico, Kadeem, WB, Fisher, LaRose, Wormley) the odds of all of them graduating together is pretty low. It isn't a Jimmy "problem" the transfer/turnover rate at the D1 level now is close to 50%. Odds are that class will graduate with four instead of six just the way it is in D1 now. They are all good kids but only Nico is a "must keep" I just hope he doesn't declare for the draft after leading Siena to the sweet 16 next year!!

He's a freshman big getting inconsistent minutes. how did JO do as a freshman? hint, his stats looked an awful lot like Fisher's (outside of blocks). I am not saying he will develop into JO. I am saying that the book is not fully written on him yet.

Call the contractors. ..get that revolving door installed at the ARC. Don't anyone get hit in the ass on the way out. Hope you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for being a person of good character but not enough athleticism. Hope you find true opportunities. Why even talk about player development if we're always looking for Mr. Instafix

He ll end up at Canisius or Niagara after everyone walks away this spring.
