Yep. Still like the kid, not his fault he's a pawn in some unknown master plan. I don't think anyone dislikes the kid. He carries himself very well, and represents the school in a positive way. The problem is he's not a D-1 player. And this group will be co-favorites to win the MAAC next year. We're a player away from getting over the top, so seeing that scholarship wasted on a player that we all know can't contribute, is disheartening. Last nights game might have even opened the stubborness of eyes.

As many have mentioned the bigger need is to stockpile talent for 17-18 when 4 seniors graduate. Would be nice to use it on a BCS big man transfer. Jimmy has to look for the future of Siena basketball and nothing else.

JP likes to collect celebrities...whether it be a Tuohy or a Gottfried.
JP loves a good story and a good name drop.

Next year will be as good a chance as we'll have to win the MAAC in a longggg time. I'm loading up if I'm the head coach. After last nights short comings it's obvious we don't have the luxury of bringing in a transfer and have him sit out. We need immediate help inside.

The odd thing is we had a shot blocker and rebounder sitting on the bench. It's clear that Jimmy doesn't see this as a priority or he would've found time for Silas this season.

Maybe I'm wrong but didn't Siena suit up the MAAC's top rebounder and the MAAC's top shot blocker (and DPOY) last night? And, if I'm not correct, aren't they both returning next year?
Siena's top 5 is very good ... best in the MAAC. Question is what kind of depth they'll have in 2016/2017. I expect Smithen to be a player that pushes for big minutes. I like what LaRose brings to the table ... question is does he catch up to the speed of the game. I thought Fisher got a bum rap all season and expect him to be much improved. Based on what little I know of Joseph, he appears to be perfect for the point of the zone press.
I like next year's team a lot. If they can, somehow, stay injury free that should compete for the top of the maac and ncaa's.

So, they didn't play well. It happens. This is also the same team that outrebounded all of their opponents by an average of 7 per game for the year. I do think there is an issue with perimeter defense. I do think the Juco kid and Smithen are likely to help with their perimeter defense. I also expect the Saints to pick up more full and 3 quarters court with the return of Wright at full strength and the additions. And, for as bad as they played, they still only lost by 4 points. I don't get the hand wringing over 1 game. Siena had a good year. Probably would have been better if Wright doesn't get hurt. Perhaps they would have finished better if they had not introduced Wright back into the playing rotation but you can't blame them for trying. Assuming no one leaves, they return like 90% of every statistical category there is except 3 point shooting. Oliver will be missed but can be replaced. (Senior's graduate every year) They will be a senior dominated squad with returning starters at every position. They should be very competitive in the maac next year.

Team got out hustled, came in cocky, as if they could just turn it on, and they almost did. IMO wish they would have lost by dbl digits, wake up call. Last six games have been pitiful. Up and down and not up to standards. MW was evident not himself, so its on the staff to perhaps sit him instead of starting him. Nut than again I don't get paid the big bucks. As for Cam, when someone figures out why he is on a ship let the rest of is know. Has BB knowledge but D2 athlete. Only thing I can figure school owes his old man a favor or we will ne getting something in the future. Maybe he's going to funnel some good transfers our way, conjecture.

They must think so.....it's easy to speculate on the two that would be unhappy right now, NOT including Paige.
Greely looks like the new Bisping.
ps--I dont think we're very involved with Truehart anymore. His team plays Friday morning at the TUC, and I don't expect our head coach to be there.
