Isn't it great we are thinking about this game like this? Jimmy has brought back the excitement for sure.

We'll if history (2104 history) is any indication of the games outcom, we should hold Iona to 15-20 below their scoring ave. Isn't history great (no matter how young that history is)?

our zone needs to be really fantastic today, otherwise their outside scoring ability is gonna put a ton of points on the board and make it difficult for us to stay in the ballgame, unless Iona goes cold...............also as mentioned, we need to prevent super fast tempo as Gaels like to get out for fast break points, so other than attacking the glass on both ends we need guard rotation to make sure we aren't readily beat for easy buckets............Iona is very athletic but not adept to really playing fundamental D, so we need to make them pay at every opportunity, when things go south for them, there is a bit of quit in them as witnessed by numerous defensive implosions over the last few yrs under Cluess, they have allowed things to snowball on them, which is really not the sign of a top team...........their mantra is to out score you and obviously they are more than capable of doing that to most teams they face..............Saints have been a much different team at home, they seem to be much more confident and resilient, the comfort zone is evident, today that should be a big factor in keeping this game close right down the stretch.......we shall see how they handle it during crunch time......................that loss to Monmouth, in as much we have young players, we clearly had enough to get by which was against a very mediocre Hawk team, IMHO, it was a terrible effort (massive turnovers) and a game they let slip away where they could be sitting at 4-1 heading into todays action...............if not stated, not only is today's game significant because it offers an opportunity to knock off a top conference foe at home, but next 2 games are @ Manhattan then @ Iona, the 2 toughest back to back road games on our schedule.............expect a good effort today and a solid crowd to bring some energy to the building, it will be needed for sure!!!!!!

No problem. We have them right where we want them (false sense of security). 2nd team to 50 wins. We've put up 52 in 2 be half before. Now is the time to do that or hold them to 30 in 2nd half while scoring 41 ourselves .
Let 's go Saints!!!

Love how our boys have come back to take the lead! But losing Wright for the game is going to hurt - hope they can hang on!!!

What's the story with Long? Hardly played today. Iona got nothing from Laury today, playing mostly Guards and wings

Good effort today against a very good team. Great spurt in the second half but the team went cold after Wright fouled out. Outscored 21-9 last 7 minutes. If this doesn't underscore the need for a true back-up point guard, I don't know what does. Evan was good today, but better as the off-guard.

As soon as Wright came out all the momentum died in this game. Despite the loss- I think Siena showed they can play with the big boys! GREAT game for Oliver!!

Siena up 69-65 when Wright fouled out. Should put a end to any debate who the priority recruit should be

We had them right where we wanted them and then we loose our PG. That's OK. Rematch next Sunday.
