I wasn't at the game but looking at the box score, we are attempting WAY too many threes (not the first half but the second half). The foul shooting was ugly. Twenty five points in the second half does not win you games in Division One Basketball. These kids need to learn that going to the basket and getting contact wins you games, not trying to get a three every time down the court. The talent is there. Can't wait till the end of the month... That is skewed due to poole and company at the end of the game. Still shot to many though because there are not many good shooters on the team from deep that can catch jump and shoot over defenders closing out

Some commented that the technical was the game killer for Siena. It caused Jimmy to come out of the coaches box because he was rightly infuriated by the HORRENDOUS FOUL on the Siena player by ref(term used very loosely) John Hughes. Shortly thereafter there was another ticky tack foul called against a Siena player that caused Jimmy to walk behind his bench so that he wouldn't get the 2nd game ejecting technical. Jimmy is in his 10th year of putting up with Hughes ineptitude. If he never officiated another Siena game it would be too soon.

I didn't expect for us to win the game, but was very happy to see the talent that is now on this team.
Very exciting to see.

I thought te foul call was a good call bisping clearly held the kids wrist as he went up with the ball. It killed the momentum that is all on Patsos. The tick tack fouls leading up to that caused him to get a T but the foul itself was a good call

Luckily Puk missed the front end so it didn't really kill us.

I think Evan Hymes is on borrowed time when it comes to starting/playing significant minutes. The 4 freshman all need to play 30 minutes a night, along with Poole. I would expect White to start at the 2G come the Old Spice. Also, there will be more scholarship openings after this season - along with Hopper, I get the feeling two additional spots will open up, which would be fine.
Watching the freshman last night, they are well prepared to perform at a high level this year. Not only couldn't Buonaguro coach, he couldn't recruit, either. There is no talent on this roster outside of the freshman class and Poole (who was a Fran target). Mitch did not recruit one kid who will ever be a first team All-MAAC selection in three years and the recruiting targets for future classes was horrific. McCaffery was here for 5 years and recruited 6 first teamers, most multiple times, and three PoYs.
This Siena team isn't going to win more than 9 or 10 games this year - there is no Scoop Jordan or Kojo with talent and experience inherited by Patsos, he only has these freshman to lean on. Get some of this other dead weight off the roster and bring in better talent.

Here's a not so random thought. I can't wait to see more on Tuesday night! Anyone know if the Vermont feed is a good one?

I went to the last game they played there and had my heart broken. That's a great place to watch a game. Great atmosphere. My guess is that one of you guys was the one that was counting out the three second calls that should have been called on Vermont during that game.
Anyway, I just blew my live game budget for the month on Friday night.

Anyway, I just blew my live game budget for the month on Friday night. That's a game we should have won. I was probably one of the 2 or 3 guys trying to help out the refs that game. Can't remember exactly, was that the game we battled back to force OT only to have us loose it in OT? I just remember VT had the ball in final seconds missed the game winner, but no one boxed out, VT grabbed the rebound and put it back up & in. What a killer, when we thought we were going to win or force OT.
