If the cheaper, easier, warmer option is available, you most definitely lose fans to that game. I can prove it with my own actions. There's been games with bad snow that were on TV and I stayed home. IF it wasn't available on TV, I would have made my way down. You're telling me no one else thinks that way? We went over this last year and several fans admitted the same thing. Showing the game at 9 (two hour delay) is the best option. I'd be willing to bet 75% of the fans out here would watch it again when they got home....with the TV angles and commentary. That may be us. But casual fans will check the score online. Read a synopsis and head to bed Exactly. You speak for the 500 cold blooded saints at heart not the majority. Exposure in any form is good for this program OUTSIDE the CD

Silly points. I'm talking about capital region fans not upstate fans in buffalo. The video feed is of very poor quality. You guys are simpletons and very close minded. You want to decide what product is produced and how people watch it. I'm not stopping you from going to the arena, so leave my tv alone. Pretend to go to the arena? Really. You just hate the tv watchers don't you. And we do pay, twc cable is very expensive. Some folks don't have the extra cash, so be kind and think of the less privileged. Older threads have discussed this issue ad nauseam. I'm done. Silly...simpletons...very close minded! Great debating points. Why do you feel a need to get personal? We were expressing our opinions, nothing more. If you don't agree with them, fine. I'm curious as to how you, an apparent example of part of the developed Siena fan base in the capital region, benefit Siena in any direct way. Watching the games in the privacy of your home makes you more of a phantom fan in my eyes, especially if you live close by. I can't comment on the quality of the video feed - I go to all the home games and most of the road games. You probably can improve the quality of the video feed by replacing your Commodore 64 with something more current!!!!!!!!! Good night - I'm done. I could care less what a ticket cost. I prefer to watch the games on tv. And yes I have updated computers and laptops. I even watch espn games on my iPhone if I'm stuck somewhere. You guys are just silly. You guys are real fans. Lol. I really don't care what people categorize me as. I enjoy following the team and have for well over 20 years. I don't have a lot of leisure time unfortunately, but watching Siena bb is always a priority to me.

I think if you buy season tickets you're a "cold blooded saint at heart." People in Syracuse and Buffalo won't care if the game is shown at 9pm instead of 7.

Just don't use phrases like, "watching Siena bb is always a priority to me" If that's true, you'll get off ass, dust off your wallet and drop $15 to WATCH them next Friday! lol

That sounds so easy.
Bring your wife and two kids, add parking and the inevitable concessions, and it's more like $100.
Just sayin'.

I just want more exposure and open access to Siena basketball. I believe that live tv, radio feeds, internet feeds, message boards and a ttarp less arena increase the potential of the program and benefits the college in general. I don't care what fan is better than me or not as good as me--- they are all fans in my book and we need as many of them as possible to compete at the next level.
I'm always impressed that we have super fans that come from NYC for a mid week game or make a trip from Virginia to see a big one. We have people that attend practices and travel to every away game -- probably unheard of for a mid major in a conference like the maac. But the volume of fans that lurk on these boards and watch live on tv, listen on the radio or who would go to a game if good seats were available are what could set this program apart for the next generation.
When the team wins, you will see more fans attend the games, and that is how it is for almost every sports team in the USA. Until that starts happening, no amount of guilt trips will send people to the windows.

That sum barely gets one person into a Yankees or Knicks game in my neck of the woods.

[/quote] I agree that it is actually a good value, it's just that the total dollar amount can be prohibitive for many fans with a family. It's because of this cost that I typically only go to a couple of games a year. Anyone that questions my fanhood, however, is way off base and can sit firmly on a red hot pitchfork.

What's the best parking lot/ garage to park at. I'm coming from out of town If walking isn't a problem then there's many parking lots/garages in a 4-5 sq block radius. If walking is an issue then parking at the TUC garage is extremely convent, as the third or fourth level directly empties to the same level to enter the back of the arena. That's where I prefer to park. Only disadvantage is leaving after the game. If everyone was courteous and alternated politely, then it wouldn't frustrate some as much. That's why we stick around for about 20 mins after the game talking to allow the garage to empty.
