Still waiting for comments on quality of Internet video feed ... Up to now have been listening to games over the net I have lived out of the area for the past six years, so I have had to rely on the video feed almost exclusively for home games. Overall, I am pleased with the quality. I connect my computer to the TV through an HDMI cable and with the exception of minor buffering issues at times and the same five commercials all season you can not tell the difference from regular TV. Not surprisingly, I would add that Siena's feed and production is far superior to all other MAAC schools.

Ha. yes, I watched the game we played at SPC last season or the season before. There was no audio commentary. It was just a kid in the stands with a camera. At breaks the camera would zoom to the scoreboard so you would know where the game stood. It was about as low budget as you can get and still consider it a video feed. I can't remember if they charged for it.
I wouldn't mind Siena getting more ESPN 360 games. My Apple TV has that built in so it would be super easy to watch the away games.

I've been known to play a college's video feed with the Siena radio commentary at the same time. It's a little tricky to time the two correctly (gotta strategically pause whichever one is slower), but it makes me feel better.

Does Siena have a radio broadcaste that can be picked up in Florida ,on the net. Yes, in addition to accessing the radio broadcast from Siena's athletic web link as George stated or Talk1300.con like Center indicated. Finally, for your mobile devices you can also download the free TuneinRadio App. Then from that application search for 1300 AM Talk Radio (since your out of state it won't necessarily appear until you search on NY and/or Albany area stations). I use TuneinRadio while I'm at home & away gams just to listen to the pre & post game info along with halftime. Can't listen that we'll during the games since it's hard to hear & delayed 7-10 seconds.

The TuneIn app is great. I actually listen to the post-game on that I lose 1300 at Clifton Park as I head north. The internet radio feed stays clear as a bell the whole ride home.

The TV deal that Siena has is a joke. It's just another reason to get to the A10! And once again put pressure on the admin to make it happen!

If you add part of my 2nd paragraph to the end on the 1st it'll make more sense.

Nah, it's just bad timing. The AA Supr Bowl draws very well in this area (heard it might be at UAlbany as early as this year?), and I can understand people not wanting to attend because of the weather conditions. Sitting inside the TUC on a weekend night in November is no hardship. There's NO excuse for 95% of us not going to the game, especially THIS one. ps--stop acting like Siena is a "brand" that is being developed across the state on this cable network. No one out there (Western NY) cares about our team. We're not Syracuse. I agree, if you want to see the game, buy a ticket. Otherwise listen to it on the radio I am one of the 5% -retired/disabled and watch as much of Siena basketball as possible. While working I had 2 season tickets and went to MSG for NIT games. Now I am still a Siena fan and go to women's games when possible (inexpensive or free with DD card), but am unable to afford TU center prices so TV is very important.

....won't be televised. The Sec 2 AA HS football final will be at the same time, and TW-3 is choosing to show that instead of the Siena game. GOOD, now the "fans" will have to get off their asses and actually go to the game. You don't increase ticket sales by eliminating other forms of exposure

You don't increase ticket sales by eliminating other forms of exposure If the cheaper, easier, warmer option is available, you most definitely lose fans to that game. I can prove it with my own actions. There's been games with bad snow that were on TV and I stayed home. IF it wasn't available on TV, I would have made my way down. You're telling me no one else thinks that way? We went over this last year and several fans admitted the same thing. Showing the game at 9 (two hour delay) is the best option. I'd be willing to bet 75% of the fans out here would watch it again when they got home....with the TV angles and commentary.

I'd vote for the 2hour delay broadcasts too (like they did with WUSA Channel 45 back in the 90's at the ARC). If people really cared about the program, they'd attend live. I consider those true fans. Before everyone starts bashing my opinion, I want to tell a story of what I consider a true fan. Someone so dedicated they'd attend a game (home or away) before considering their own Heath. To them missing a game is worse than being bed ridden. This 70 year old women (probably 65 or so at the time) went on an Iona away game bus trip with the flu (unknown it was the flu at the time she just thought she was sick). By the time the bus pull into Iona she was so dehydrated from vomiting on the bus all the way there that the Iona sports trainer had her driven to the hospital. There she stayed for the entire game plus a couple additional hours. Thank goodness Greenblood was there because Greenblood drove her home so the bus didn't gave to wait (even though the people on the bus were willing to wait for her). Some may think this women's decision was wrong to go, but it just goes to show how dedicated some fans are. How missing a game (even an away game) causes more pain/discomfort than attending with the flu. So when I hear able bodied people complaining about televised games as opposed to attending I remember this 70 year old woman and think this is the Siena fan I inspire to be. Regarding televising the games for non-locals for coverage, I'm all in favor for. The more coverage the better. I just don't want to hear excuses for people that could attend who prefer to stay home and watch in a TV. That's your choice, but don't then say how big a fan you are because actions speak louder than words.

Read a synopsis and head to bed
