Don't see Poole playing the 2 with White being recruited to play the 2. Poole at 6 '5 in the MAAC is a wing. Long only chance at starting Is at the 4 for the next 3 years because Cole will be eligible for the 3 years. Even then I'm pretty sure Coach will be recruiting another wing.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. In my mind, the only two players that are a lock to start right now (barring injury) are Poole and Wright.

Patsos recruited Long, Wright, White, and Wolfe for Loyola
Wright to back up RJ for 2 years at the pg and White to backup Cormier at the 2g....Wolfe a possible redshirt 4 and Lavon at the 3 with the best chance to start with the graduation of Bobby, Etherly, and Windbush...that was the plan there stated publicly by Patsos
At Siena Wright beat Hymes out on the court so things are moving around...White still has to earn his spot vs guys that are very hungry and Lavon's versatility will earn him minutes...its not who starts its who finishes anyway....Time will tell who plays where and when

I see poole playing the 3 full time for the next 3 years and Cole playing the 2 for the next 3. Long will have a hard time getting minutes there since White is on the Team.

You might want to brush up on some facts before trying to sound like an expert regarding this team. Poole has two years left, not three. We all know PPC's agenda; she wants what is best for her son's development and what will maximize his career potential after college. That is exactly what any parent would want for their kid. What's your agenda Hoopster? Clearly you're all about White, but what's the relationship? For the record, I want to see White succeed at the two as well.

I realize there's plenty of coaches on this site, but does it really matter what player plays where? We have (per the Siena coaches) 9 to 11 players that could see time.
Other than bragging rights (I told you so) what does it matter? I wouldn't care if we played 5 PGs if that allowed us to win.
Just seems like people are guessing (or even using what the coaching staff said) as to who's playing where.
I'd assume the line-up will change throughout the season as players develop (or don't develop).
No matter where they play, the team will be fun to watch, again.

All that I go on is what the coaches say and do....Lavon played the 3/4 in the 5 games in Canada....he will continue to back up Poole at the 3 if Poole continues to start there...and get time at the 4...it really does not matter if he starts....he will log minutes at those positions and how much he plays will depend on staying out of foul trouble. I enjoy how much the fans are into this team....everyone has an Opinion .. the best part is the games will be played and there will be results to point to....in the mean time we will continue to speculate

No one has been beaten out of position yet. Too early to know who is going to play where. All the pieces aren't in place. They started the best five players based on what is being done on and off court. Playing two point guards (wright/hymes)together was the staff best option or they would have simply started one and use the other as a backup. If it made sense to use a different lineup they would have and they will if it allows team to score. The staff is offense minded.

Siena lineups so far
1. Hymes Poole Long Javion Silas
2. Wright Hymes Poole Long Silas
3. Wright Hymes Poole Bisping Silas
4. Wright Oliver Poole Bisping Silas
5. Wright Oliver Poole Long Bisping
Wright is locked in as the starting Pg and Poole locked in as a starter based on this IMOP

Degnen committed to Fairfield, but we are still in the mix for Brandweijk and Burns.

You never know, maybe Lavon will average 20 and 10 and you will steer him to a HM so you can realize your dream (I mean his dream). BTW- Burns isn't bigger than Lavon.
