It’s not registering with some of these posters that we’re not spending that kind of money or increasing our annual budget for a basketball coach. Darg has us over a barrel. It’s not registering with you and hj that your assumption that brown is the only one willing and able to work around the finances in year 1 and 2 may not be accurate. Brown SHOULD be the only one that would take $100K to coach a D-1 team with a 15,000 seat arena. He's got 30 years invested in the area. He's not looking for a D-1 job, but there's one right in front of him which would allow his family to stay locally. His job got shut down. He's jobless with a COY in the CBA and now at the D-2 womens level. Seems like the guy can coach a little. You dont think he'd love to show up UAlbany at the same time? I could see him being very motivated to succeed. You guys want a guy that would stay here? This guy is it! lol He's proven that. OR we can forget this crazy scenerio and just keep Carm for the next 2 years But hey, if your P6 guy would take $100K, he'd def have to be considered.

we should not necessarily be looking for a HC that we would want to stay forever............just saying, those types tend to put their feet up on the desk and mail it in, besides we have an AD already like that, just saying..................

Always been the way, as it should be. I never fault a guy for moving up after making a mid-major a consistent winner, and even regular participant in the NCAA's. And Im sure if Will took us back to the tourney, and moved on after a P6 came calling, we'd all sign up for that today!

My prediction: It would shock me if Carm is not back next season (his buyout will save him) …I doubt he’d be able to put together a team that could go 18-12 … regardless season tickets will drop considerably … Siena will bite the bullet and fire him after 2025 MAAC Tourney … Siena will then have to decide which direction athletics will take … if they want to resurrect the program a PROVEN head coach will need to be hired … this is only way to get fans back in their seats quickly… new coach will need to be relevant in year 2

DArg’s laziness and desire for stability has been a killer. There’s nothing wrong with successful coaches moving on because they’ve won. His desire to keep a coach has led to one bad contract after another. Considering what transpired with Patsos we shouldn’t be in this position today. He learned nothing from that experience.

I don't see D'Arg hiring Brown. So the question is does Siena fire Carm and D'Arg and then hire Brown with the former St. Rose AD at the helm.

Mike Hopkins, longtime Syracuse assistant, is getting fired at Washington. Maybe he'd want to come back to upstate NY? I know he's a Cali kid, but he did spend three decades here as a player and coach.

Retire D'arg forcibly and you will have his salary for next 2 yrs. At the least we finally get rid of that dumpster fire! That would be a start. GO SAINTS!!

We need Carm’s final 2 years out of the way & DArg out of the picture before we can afford to conduct a legitimate search. Unless benefactor’s step up with a pile of cash I don’t see how we get out of this mess.
It’s a nasty business, Siena missed their opportunity when Carm took a poke at Tekin. These guys had NP going after Patsos for cause…. Carm’s misstep was committed in front of a building full of fans. Unfortunately he was let off the hook.

Will Brown finished with a record of 315-295, .516 W-L% at UAlbany. His last 3 years were all losing seasons: .375, .438, .438. As I said previously on here, his best days of coaching men's D1 college basketball are behind him. He is not the answer to turning around Siena men's basketball. I want to see the next hire who comes in with a string of winning seasons not losing ones. And please don't tell me he won coaching the Patroons and a St. Rose with their women's team. Time to bring in some fresh and talented coaching blood to Loudonville.
