Camper is quietly an awesome player. His PPS is 1.45 in conference even though he can't make 3's and is bad at FT's, plus he's the best rebounder who doesn't play center in the entire league. He's excellent defensively as well. If he became even a 30% 3-point shooter and a 65% FT shooter, even without taking more shots or FT's he'd be a 1.68 PPS guy in MAAC play. That's massive. He's having a terrific year. We really missed him when he was hurt and when he fouled out vs. Quinnipiac. He's basically a freshman this year too as he barely played last year. Pickett, Carey, Camper, Burns I think are your four lock starters for next year. We'll see who rounds out the line-up but I think Manny has earned a spot. if this lineup proves to be true... i would have to give the final slot to Seymour.

JC really likes Sloan- and he drags a defender out to 30 feet giving Picket, Carey, Burns, Richards etc room to operate. Sloan is going to have to get stronger and do something on rebounding, but if he improves even marginally I'd have to give edge to Sloan to start next year. And I say that expecting little out of freshmen, if one of them comes in and is ready to play immediately, then that could change

While that is great, it is a bit misleading, in that Camper is usually 4th option on offense and teams sometimes dont even guard him. I think good chance Manny starts at 3 next year. But he is going to have to improve his outside shot and FT shooting- and given his work ethic I wouldn't bet against that

But he is going to have to improve his outside shot and FT shooting- and given his work ethic I wouldn't bet against that I don’t think it’s all that misleading. If he’s a 4th option teams don’t guard who averages a hyper-efficient 8 points and 6 rebounds (he’s at 7 and 6 in MAAC play, so adding a point per game for the upped percentages) while playing high-level defense, he’s an incredibly valuable role player. If you can get high PPS from Camper and Burns, 2 guards in Carey and Pickett who post solid efficiencies, can shoot it from the outside, and get to the line (Pickett at 1.25 PPS, Carey was 1.2 as a frosh at MSM) and surround them with high level shooters and the offense will be dynamic. Plus, with Burns and Camper drawing fouls (and hopefully a similarly agressive Pickett to what we saw vs QU when he was getting fouled at will), we should get to the line more than we do. Camper may never be more than a 4th option offensively, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be a high-level starter on a good team. On paper, he does everything this team doesn’t: rebound, defend multiple positions, and get to the basket to draw fouls. Plus, he can handle the ball.

All I can say is down by 29 with 12 mins left and I’m arguing with Mr Siena (because he already gave up) that Siena was going to come back and win the game. Hey, I was wrong but Siena did come back when most of you either gave up or didn’t think they’d come back. Yeah, I ended up being wrong but I wasn’t composing or even upset. Why? Because until we actually lose the game I keep believing we’re homing to win. I can tell you it’s way more fun being optimistic that all the negative energy others expend with all the complaining during the game. I had a blast this game even with the not so good outcome. IS, we were not down 29...…………...but 20 instead...………….. I knew that. Typo, the 9’s too close to the “0”. I don’t always proof read befor hitting post.

When the National Corrupt Athletic Association realized the economic windfall they controlled with March Madness! To be fair, it I believe it says in bylaws a player can't play for 2 different teams in the same calendar sports year. Maybe you guys get him for 2 years instead starting next year. Nah, they could have granted a waiver to that rule. No fairness there.
