Two and a half minute package of the game coming up on ESPN in 10 minutes (11:21 ET). Jalen gets an equal share of the highlights as Young. Sorry, on ESPN2. UFC on ESPN right now.

Agreed it would have been much better with a win. But I like getting the school's name out there whenever possible... unless it's the coach doing fake handshakes. Can’t beat the free advertising.

Great comeback. Great crowd. Great atmosphere at the TU and downtown on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Great game by Pickett. Unbelievable game by Pickett. One of the all time best by any player that's ever worn a Siena uniform let alone the very best ever by a Siena Freshmen...bar none. Great game by Camper as well as Smithen and a solid efforts by Degnan and Seymour and Ratliff in specific areas.
Ok...all the good stuff being said I will say again that I like JC as our coach, I really do, I believe he was the right choice to bring our program back but I do have some real questions about his in game decisions late in games.
#1 - They are down 20 in the second half and come all the way back utilizing a quicker more athletic group for much of it consisting of Ratliff, Camper, Smithen, Pickett, and Degnan, yet when OT starts, out comes Fisher, Seymour, and Degnan out on the court together. Style of play goes back to not keeping the pressure on, and soon enough in OT we are playing from behind again.
#2 - Ratliff never sees any time again until wrap up time in the 3rd OT. Crazy how he played such a big part in the come back
#3 - Lack of use of time outs during key posessions....including on a jump ball call that could have been avoided and the last possesion of I believe the 2nd ot where it was just horrible watching Pickett dribbling the ball out the full possesion when he had a wide open Smithen right to his right before dribbling to a contested deep three.
#4 - Fisher, Degnan, and Seymour are just too slow or not willing to play defense or be effective on rotation help defense so they cannot all be in the game together; especially during crunch time in a close game.
Ratliffs return to action should be taking minutes away from Fisher and not Smithen or Camper. It is very clear that the glue to this team is Camper, Smithen, and Pickett and their minutes should reflect that.
Go Saints!

He needs some time to get back to 100%, holding him out of overtime was the right move.

I caught the end of the radio broadcast on my way home. Young is playing his third season at Quinny after two years of Juco ball. Per Kannell, Quinny petitioned for a fifth year of eligibility. The basis was that although he played later in the season than is apparently allowed for a redshirt year, the total numbers of games that he played would have made him eligible for a redshirt.
Meanwhile, Elijah sits on the bench, being penalized for graduating from one of the nation's finest universities in 3.5 years. When did being a STUDENT-athlete become a bad thing?

My tape ran out with 3 min left in the 3rd OT, but the one play that I thought hurt us the most in the OTs was in the 2nd one after Sloan put us up by 3 with like :37 left. Camper left Young to chase Marfo who was dribbling the ball by the key, leaving the guy with 50 alone? He got the next pass in rhythm and tied the game with a deep 3. Demoralizing. Then with :17 left we didn’t run a play, just the dribble out the clock and JP taking a LeBron like 24 ft fade-away 🤦♂️. Should have gone to the hole and force the refs to make a call. Get to that line and win the game. That was my biggest problem with JC today- he waited to long to start running the play- Quinny waited till about 6 or 7 sec to run double at Pickett, he threw up a heavily guarded shot with no chance as time expired , would have liked to see someone drive there- and maybe that was plan but by throwing double at Pickett late threw off the timing I dont know I just didn't get It! We have the ball, last possession, running the clock out tied. Our best player with the ball!! If the opposite team had the ball you would think you're through! I don't usually bet much but I would have bet we had this game! All right, six seconds left on the clock, Pickett going to take it to the hoop, double bonus opportunity with one or two seconds left. WAIT!! What the hell just happened ?? When we blew that great opportunity, I had strong feeling we really blew It! I love JC but I don't understand the call at the end of that 2nd OT !!

I’m out, I cant watch anymore and I hope they turn it around after I shut it off. I guess they did turn it around after I shut it off. Outcome was not what I’d hoped for but gotta keep moving on. I hope the guys aren’t gassed for St Pete’s.

What surprised me a bit was not seeing Ratliffe much in the OT periods. Did he get in the first 2 at all? He had a rebound he could have turned around and laid it in and didn’t, then we turned the ball ober. And did you see the shot he missed by 3 feet? He was rusty and out of sync with his shot. Not sure when those plays occurred, but he was very effective defensively in our comeback, esp in the last few mins of regulation.

As maybe Evan's biggest booster on this board the past four years, he just did not show up today. It happens. These are kids playing a game. That’s what we so often forget. Still 18-22 year olds.

I have a similar problem when either my Bills or Saints are up (or having good games) and I tweet, email or post. I have learned I am their jinx then.

I’m a fan of Evans. Always have, but he needs a good face to face with the HC. It’s become more about him than the team and we don’t have enough talent for anyone but Pickett to think he can carry a team. I know he wants to win badly and he’s a senior and wants to “step up,” but he needs to let his offensive opportunities come to him, not force them like he has the last few games. I hope he turns it around so he can finish up a surprisingly good year for the program. Idk, there’s something up with Evan. I made a comment awhile back that he just hasn’t looked right to me, almost looks like he’s physically laboring and also not being able to execute plays around the basket like he was earlier in the year. The term explosive will never be used to describe him but IMO as of the past few weeks he’s got nothing in the tank. Couple that with some bad shot selections and you get what we’ve been seeing recently.
