thanks, just wondered...………..and what exactly is the injury to Darwiche? Tweaked something in his leg when he went in for the closing seconds of the Iona game since he wasn’t fully loose. Not sure if it’s a Hammy, groin, Achilles, or what. I am thinking ankle; he has been wearing an immobilizing boot below the knee for the last two games.

It will probably help the kid down the road if he decides to transfer down to a D-2 or D-3 school. Smart to maintain his 4 years for his future whether it’s here or somewhere else. Yup, exactly, and these are the exact sort of acts that make parents comfortable sending their kid off to play for a coach.

Remember when he first got her late in summer and got “injured” and was out the first few weeks of regular practices; it was reported at that time he had a foot/ankle issue. My guess is it either got reaggravated and/or he was never fully healthy. That may explain some of his play this season. Hopefully but next season he’ll be fully healed and we’ll be able to see the healthy Georges.

Barring injuries he's the 5th guard.

Anybody have any info on Darwiches and Tchougangs availability for some minutes this weekend? not sure, but if they were available, they would have to play sparingly at best (perhaps to give a quick breather for starters) if that...……………….

I'd rather use one of the tired top 6 to play extra mins than either of these 2 play.
Use Ratliff and Huerter for spot time. They're more mobile and might get lucky from three if they decide to take one. Tchougang should not have been playing over Huerter.
Believe it or not, Huerter's +/- is much better than both because his defense is decent. Tchougang frankly struggles on both sides of the ball and I've never seen an athletic 6-10 guy get blocked so much at the rim.
So, I'd keep both Darwiche and Tchougang on the bench and use these other 2 instead to at least preserve the defensive side. Offensive drop off will be an issue no matter what you do. At least keep the opponent's offense in check a bit.

Denzel always gets blocked because he brings the ball down...……………..the only time he gets a clean flush is when he is all alone with the rim & no defenders around...………..

Yes, and it drives me crazy. at times, Friday does this also, as he has had his shot sent back...……...plus I think his vertical is minimal at best (as is Fishers)……………….

Camper & Smithen are really active and defend/rebound their positions well. Seymour is key offensively when this happens to spread the floor. They had both Fisher and Degnan on the bench for a little bit over the weekend, I did not like that lineup.

Degnan as 5 and Ratliff or Huerter come in for Fisher or something...if someone outside top 6 has to play. Having neither Degnan nor Fisher out there means that there is absolutely no post scoring presence on the floor...and that puts more pressure on the perimeter players.

In a one and done I'd go with 7 (Ratliff is 7). Go all out for Saturday with a ton of rest...because if you don't win Saturday there is no Sunday or Monday obviously. Jamion said on the coaches show you worry about Sunday when you get there.
If we're lucky enough to get a nice lead in the second half (I think/expect this game will go right now to the wire) then perhaps you can play Huerter or Bayer or Denzel a minute of two late.
