Hearing Talor Battle will interview for the 3rd assistant or DOBO role. Just retired from playing oversees, all time leading scorer at Penn State, and has the City Rocks connections. Would be a perfect fit in my eyes and we could get his brother as a walk on and not take a scholarship spot.

Would be a good opportunity for him. Entry level, knows the Rocks, the area, and the tradition.

Great young man to have join the program and it should be beneficial in recruiting. It's great to be talking about positive things isn't it !!

Penn still at school Prince and Bentley are gone.Don't think Bentley decision is based on Prince from what i heard he's returning just heard.I'm guessing Horn is probably gone closer to home and maybe Abe not here also.Nothing guarantee Bentley has the athleticism for this system as well. Speaking of the mayhem system, I've got some numbers for you to chew on KK. Last season, here's how MSM ranked in the some of key categories: 19th nationally in threes per game (10.1), 34th in turnover margin (+2.7), and 49th in three-point field goal percentage (.379). Additionally, the Mount ranked 15th nationally in fewest fouls (15.4), 26th in fewest turnovers (11.0), and 56th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.27). They also averaged 14.0 assists. Absorb those stats for a bit and tell me what you think. I know you have some reservations about the system Christian runs.

I already said he will need to win on turnover margin differential and they shoot a lot of threes. You're just repeating things I've already said in a different way. That's cool yo.

So they foul and turn the ball over a lot less than Patsos teams do and get a lot more assists. That's the good. The bad from your perspective is a lack of high percentage shots, drawing fouls, getting to the line, and rebounding correct? My thinking is the NEC isn't known for being a league with many serviceable big men - it's what separates them from the MAAC. With the access to better big men I'm thinking you'll see more of those stats with Christian's system in the MAAC. Looks like he's focusing recruiting efforts so far on size. I don't think he wants that for more 3 point shooting.

If he signs the same big men that he was going to get at MSM, is it really better?

I’m not convinced it’s as big a problem as KK portray- In short stats are nice, but a reason why it’s often said Stats are for losers or you can make stats say almost anything you want. He are the important FACTS. Jamion won (60-19 at home), won a good pct of his conference games, Went to NCAA’s twice in 6 years. When almost 20% of you schedule is guaranteed road games any meaningful exam of the stats has to be taken with grain of salt.

Just because Iona uses their recipe to have success doesn’t mean that it is the only way to go.

Ignore my concerns. I don’t really care. I, for one, will hope the guy has success but I also know that it’s not guaranteed.

At least Coach Christian appears to have a system that does not consist of holding the ball until the last several seconds and then jack up a shot. Just looking forward to see what he can do with our guys and who he will bring in.

That’s kind of exactly what his offense has been. They don’t take 2s or get to the line...hence why I’ve said he needs to improve on offense. He’s more of a perimeter D type coach to date.
