I tend to agree with bbfan. I would have liked for Prince to stay at Siena and work on improving his game. His athleticism might have served him well here; if he ends up at a Power 5 school, his athleticism will be matched or bettered by most of his opponents. His hands are a problem, he's foul-prone, he doesn't rebound as much as he should/could, and there were a number of times when he just seemed lost on the floor. He certainly has positives in his game, but he does need a lot of work. Bbfan and I may be wrong, and it wouldn't bother me in the least if we are, but I don't see him helping an upper-level team anytime soon. I wish him well, and hope that he can use the year he sits out to improve his game. I don't doubt about anytime soon. But I will follow his career to see what coaching can do for him. I too agree with the assessment of skill level. I think it was all based on the promises of unlimited playing time here and once again, I think this is another case of 'handlers' out for themselves and not for the best interest of the kid. They probably sought out a similar promise of playing time in the transfer.

I am with everyone that I only want kids at Siena that want to be there and will buy into the new coach's philosophy.
That said, my initial point was that athletic 6'8" guys that jump and move like he can do not grow on trees at the mid major level. He very well might be organizational depth at a bigger program but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have been a huge plus for the Saints going forward.
Further, I personally think he was a good fit for JC's style of play. Prince was good to very good at finishing when he was facing the basket. Not as good when he was a more traditional back to the basket guy. A team that relies on excellent spacing and surrounding a big with 4 shooters is the perfect spot for an athletic big.
Wish him well wherever he ends up.
