Speculation is over with Prince as well. Best of luck to him wherever he goes. Will be visiting USF Wednesday Siena transfer Prince Oduro tells me he's considering Mississippi State, South Florida, New Mexico, Seton Hall, and UMass. Just visited Mississippi State. #shbb Per rothstein As with Nico, I wish him well. Looks like JP beat out these teams. Or they want JP rejects.

The exact same 'rejects' you criticized a few months ago for not executing JP's brilliant game plans. Hopefully, they will land with a coach who will coach them to maximize the skills and talent they see in these 'rejects'.

For anyone that thinks Prince is still staying this seals the deal for sure: If there were any doubt, Fr. F Prince Oduro is done at Siena. Said he hasn't heard from new coach Jamion Christian. "I think I'm going to move on since no one's contacted me,'' he said. Visited Miss. State this weekend. Going to South Florida Wednesday, then Seton Hall & UMass. "It was good,'' Oduro said about his year at Siena. "I learned a lot this year. It was just a big learning experience for me." Said he would have stayed if Jimmy Patsos were still here. Said he's enjoying being recruited again. "I think the last time I rushed it,'' he said. Per singelais

Already had Siena off his twitter account earlier this week. Best of luck to him.

New coach could have reached out to the players, or the players (including Prince) could have reached out to the new coach. “Congratulations. Good luck. Hope we have a chance to talk soon.” I wish Prince well, but “I think I’m going to move on since no one’s contacted me” is a bit lame.

Has Prince not been away since JC signed a contract allowing him to contact players? Not to say that the new coach could not have contacted him via phone or email. Either way, I wish Prince the best regardless of what happens.

I hate to see Prince leave too, but JC might prefer to bring in a new big that fits his style (and for 4 years) rather than investing time trying to make Prince something he isn't, tying up a scholarship for 3 more years. In any case they should have talked, but I'm glad Prince seems to have several opportunities to find a better fit for himself.

Not sure how we will bounce back from this one. Really tough to replace guys that play nearly 30 mpg, shoot 33% from the stripe and bring down less than 2 offensive rebounds a game.

You’re fooling yourself if you don’t believe an athletic 6’8” big who is going to end up at a power 5 conference team would help the saints in the coming years.

I'd caution folks on "reading to much into" the Oduro quote - he may very well have declared his intentions to ONLY play for Oh-no at Siena during his recruitment/signing (remember at that time Oh-no was already considered to be on the hot seat by a growing segment of the fan base. The same transfer situation existed when Fran recruited Melsahn and it was not known by our fan base. Fran was seen on his way up and Melsahn and his advisers set that boundary condition. Some of us got egg on our face (or worse) when it appeared that Fran/Andrew were stealing him for the Hawkeyes. The "prince" is gone, we should be looking for a new heir...

Of course he would help- but reality is once Jimmy resigned no way Prince was staying. He wasn’t on campus when JC was introduced and HJ has been telling us for a month Prince would leave if Jimmy left.
I wish Prince nothing but the best.. But the reality is I want players that WANT to be here at Siena. Let’s turn the page on Prince
