Agree with you there as far as defending goes.

Agree with you there as far as defending goes. Once Nico fell off the planet and Penn went down, Siena had very few defensive playmakers. Smithen, Camper...ok. Heurter blocks a few shots here and there. But really there was no ballhawk or great shotblocker for their position out there. No real defensive play maker AT ALL. Mostly just offensive specialists. Teams largely had their way with us because we had no avenue to put them on their heels with our defense. Athletic and versatile guys like Timberlake and Welch would immediately change the defense and intensify Siena's wing rebounding and shotblocking especially. Most importantly, they could potentially do it without sacrificing comparative offense in the process. Baker and Penn pick up steals on paper so combined with them rebounding, steals, and wing shotblocking could all improve and Siena's possession deficit could get immediately reduced. And having better defensive wings could also help on FG% defense. And increased wing defense leads to better transition offense. It's all interrelated and it has a snowball effect. Even before talking about taking care of the ball better or having better offense, Siena could already be talking about 6th place or higher in such a scenario if they played with that kind of toughness. And if Jimmy has one strength at all, it's getting his players to play tough.

These guys really think every transfer is a kid that got pushed out. It's laughable. No one ever leaves for their own reasons. π Why are you talking in absolutes and hyperbole? Nobody said every transfer is getting pushed out. Show me one post where anyone ever said, "This player is leaving because he: A) wants to play more B) wants to play at a higher level C) wants to play closer to home etc.....it's ALWAYS: "Jimmy ran him out"

I want to get to the NBA? I'd put Wormley in that category. It's questionable whether he left to play at a higher level - Hofstra of the CAA. I can't think of one other player about whom we could even consider putting in the B category. Jimmy has recruited no Jack McClintons or Al Fishers.

Regardless of the coaching situation I will admit that there is going to be a lot of talent on this team next year. Unless there are guys that are not going to return I do not understand how we have any more roster spots available for recruits. Wojick will start right away and I do believe that Baker will play quite a bit. I really hope Jimmy can figure out that he needs to play camper and use Fisher only in foul trouble. Lets hope he learns how to coach these guys because otherwise it is a waste of talent. I couldn't yell any louder at the MAAC tournament to put camper in the game...little too late there Jimbo...We should be good this upcoming year! A lot of talent on this roster? ....................have you gone to games this past season, you do recall we finished in a TIE for dead last in the MAAC with Marist, and we only got the 10th seed because of a tie breaker.................we are adding 2 players right now (hopefully 2-3 more), but NEITHER puts us over the top or even climbing up in the standings.............. Listen, Penn was injured and he was the engine that drove this team. We did not win because fisher was on the floor too much and Oduro had not honed in on his skills. You will eat your words heading into next year. I will re-post this next year to remind you of your comments because you clearly don't see progression and talent levels. My guess is that Penn will start at point and make a massive jump from his already impressive freshman campaign. Baker clearly is a scorer with high upside and may steal some point minutes, but I think will be used as the new Richard. Wojick will be the BEST shooter on the team...kid knows the game and will hold the all time 3-point record for Siena from what I can see. I think camper will start at the 4 going forward barring a new signing like Emilien. Oduro will improve. Its only a matter of time before we see our biggest weapon break out. If you want to complain about last year go ahead...thats all you know how to do...I agree the coach blows, but I've suffered just as much as you all. I attend every game and get upset, but you have to recognize they rebuilt this team from scratch and I like the kids. All seem smart and they will be hungry. You get better in the off season and they will want to shove aside what happened last year. If you don't believe just watch and be surprised. Again, don't tell me I didn't tell you so....I still stand by how good they will be the next 3 years! Also, Quinnipiac is loaded this year...don't be surprised if they win the whole thing.
