Maybe its time to go follow Georgetown's master plan and use nostalgia to revitalize a once great program that is now dead in the water. Who's for hiring Marc Brown as the next head coach? He's been doing a respectable job as a head coach at the D3 level and frankly I'm not seeing us doing any better.

If he's actually a good coach, I'd be for it. We don't need a gimmick, we need to win. If #4 can get it done then great.

Mike Maker was a phenomenal D3 coach how’d that work.
I like Brown, but not at this time / spot too risky.

Marc Brown is a program hero. If he comes here and fails, then what?

Marc Brown is a program hero. If he comes here and fails, then what? under the current circumstances, we should be open to all possibilities.........it has been done at other schools, some successful, some not so much................

Once in a while smoke comes out of my ears and I fantasize about Tom Huerter becoming coach and Kevin coming home to play for him with his brother. Have NO idea if Tom can coach, but at least he's a good guy with a professional approach.
See? There are crazier ideas than Showbiz coming back to steer the ship!

I can tell you this - when Tom Sr. was on the broadcast with Robert Lee, he certainly had some great insights to the game!

Not a bad idea? Actually a great idea.
If a D-3 Coach is getting paid a $100k per year (?), tell #4, the only way Siena can afford to make a change and fire Patsos and give Brown a chance at becoming a D-1 HC is by paying Brown $150k a year for the next 3 yrs.
If he does well, his big pay day will come in yr 4 with a new contract. No contract extensions. No increases. Nothing new until year #4.
If he doesn't work out, then we go looking with no payouts required.
As long as Brown can swallow his pride knowing that Patsos will be getting paid 3 times more than him for not being employed by Siena, it is basically the equivalent of costing Siena a 1 yr buyout year, which is a lot more affordable than a 3 yr million dollar plus buyout.
It would definately energize the fan base into not only keeping current Siena ticket holders from fleeing in mass exodus as will happen next yr if Rex is still around, it would probably with the right marketing program in place with Marc Brown being all over everything Siena, spark an increase in not only season ticket sales but game day walk up sales as well.
That increase in revenue would also lessen the cost of the buyout that much more.
Being a D-1 HC is not rocket science. Though different, being a mid major D-1 HC is not that much different from being a D-3 HC, especially if that person is a former really good D-1 player who went on to successfully play professional basketball for 10 (+) years and knows how to recognize D-1 talent out on the recruiting trail.
I would take Show Biz in a heartbeat over So-So for the next 3 yrs if he is willing to come at a way below market price for being a D-1 HC at this level for the next 3 yrs?
If it's Marc Brown's goal to become a D-1 HC, it seems like a pretty good risk on his part as well.
Could be a win-win for all involved. I hope they really consider approaching him with this type of scenario.
And as an icing on the cake type of scenario Brown is a NJ kid with I am sure, all sorts of contacts in the talent rich NYC/NJ Metropolitan area.
Bring Back Show-Biz for Show-Time!

I agree with others. I dont think Brown is the solution. I think the program needs a giant colon cleansing.
