I believe a former HC came to town a couple of years ago looking for an asst. job.He could have helped the bigs immensely but was overlooked!I do not think Jimmy is good at taking advice.

Prince came in touted as all world, all MAAC, and all that JP needed...I think the total staff has let the kid down...they have failed to hone the skills he came in with, failed to teach new and very necessary skills, failed to incorporate plays to benefit from his size and current skill set, failed at correcting his foul prone nature (not helped by our well advertised and poorly executed offense - did I say force it inside and then we'll look to score....?), and then yo-yo'd him game after game. Not sure he and Evan compliment (in terms of skill set/athleticism) each other when paired on the floor. When these two combine for only 2/36 rebounds, something is seriously wrong - the plantar fasciitis condition hasn't been mentioned in a bit and I, based on my own experience, doubt it was magically cured in a couple of months via inserts or new UA sneaks. We are guard rich and something is not right with our combination of bigs - can't hurt to try playing one big and four guards. What strikes me as really strange is how Friday is completely closed out - perhaps he should request a meeting with the boss after talking with Thomas and Manny to see how they sold themselves. JP sure fell for being on team Canada. If JP actually did some proper recruiting/research he would of found out it was only because so many kids decided not to play for team Canada last year. The only game Canada lost was the only game Oduro started, against Spain. I guess they thought that Spain would be a very winnable game and gave him the nod. He actually had 14 points but was a brutal -13 an important stat that I guess JP doesn't pay attention to. It kills me that JP was touting him as all world, all MAAC lol he was ranked 29th in Canada and dropping due to wait gain and slowing down and just not able to improve his shooting. Oduro will be able to play in the MAAC and be effective in time, but it starts with getting in shape. Friday would have been way more productive then PO, given the same minutes and free passes as PO. Any chance of getting 5 MAAC wins at this point, includes Sammy. Oduro comes to Siena and regresses ... shocking!

bbfan - I'd be willing to bet the plantar fasciitis was a contributor to his "slowing down" and had we gone and watched the kid many times (what good coaches do) it just might have gotten some notice...not so with this crew - JP hasn't seen his feet in so long he probably doesn't even look at feet OR FOOT SPEED....that is, if he actually goes and sees a kid Agreed if he actually has plantar fasciitis, that would be a contributing factor for sure. If he does have it or did or whatever, and JP was aware of it during the preseason and non conference games. Why did he play so much if truly hurting? If he was going to be the guy at Siena wouldn't you want him healthy for MAAC play. Or did JP not know Prince had a foot problem and gets migraines now apparently too, due to inadequate recruiting. If Oduro was hurting it should of been a no brainer to play Friday in Canada during the pre-season, to give him some confidence and see what he could do. That as we know didn't happen and here we are sitting in the basement with a bunch of excuses.

Thanks JP let's just try and feed the ball to Prince.Yeah everyone stand around we call a timeout to force feed Prince WTF Here's PO's stats - 13 min, 3 points, 1 rebound, 4 to's and fouled out. Why would any sane coach try and feed PO the ball? Here's another unimpressive stat! Fisher and Oduro combine for 2 of the teams 36 rebounds!!!! All would be well in Saint land if Patsos would play Sammy Friday. The writing is on the wall. Karma is a....

I don't believe this coaching staff understands the need or knows how to continually be developing their players skill set. Only time will tell how Campers meeting with So So went. I'm guessing his playing time decreases as the season wears on. Everyone on this board (except the current coaching staff) knows Sammy should be getting at least 15 minutes of playing time/game. Jimmy yo yo's everyone except Penn. Reason number 1 why they are so inconsistent. He has all the players except Penn and maybe now Horn looking over their shoulder when they make a mistake looking to see if they're getting the hook. There you go...only Penn is set up for success and still struggles. How is going 0for5 from the field a good game for your pg? Patsos is happy with his 10 rebounds tho. So play Penn as a point forward at the 4.

Friday did meet with him... didn't translate to minutes though. Nothing will change for Sammy till he finds another school to.play for. Patsos is all in with Prince and Penn.

The agenda is clear and has ruined the season.

He pumped PO up in front of his hometown. The deal was made and so Friday suffered. There is no turning back now. Can't let Friday play too much or the truth will come out.

With Jimmy's butt being on the hot seat, if Sammy was the best option, he'd play him. Even with PO being showcased as the star recruit. And he would have a ready excuse in the plantar faciatis to have Sammy take some of the minutes.
