Siena now 75-84 under Patsos who's career record is 220-219. Siena is 110-143 (.435) since 2010.
Saints drop to 6-16 on the season, remaining schedule:
St. Peter's, Manhattan, at Fairfield, at Canisius, Iona, at Rider, Monmouth, Fairfield, at St. Peter's
Don't see any road wins - probably win 2 out of the 5 at home.
Lose first MAAC tournament game. Final record 8-24.

Keep tanking, Jimbob. Next: vs. St Peters, Monday January 29th, 7 pm Rooting hard for the kids but let's face it in the LONG RUN this may be a blessing. The administration hands are going to be forced. If they bring Patsos back he will do more damage than Beyer, Lanier AND Mitch did COMBINED. The lost revenue will pale in comparison to any buyout paid. The only coaches at Siena to coach a sixth year since the program went D1 is Mike Deane (8) and Bill Kirsch (10, 6 of them in D1). You either move on up or get fired after 5 years. Period.

The yo-yo effect is killing Siena. Boys need to get into rhythm and not pulled out every 2-3 mins. Patsos has the skills of an elementary school CYO coach who’s kid is playing ... just awful

Offense was horrific tonight. Part was coaching, part was we just didn’t make anything. Change is coming in March I have to think.

We are down 8 late in the game and still using the whole shot clock. This offense is the worst.

we do have the possibility of a "quick fix" to right the ship for next yr..............realistically we might need 4-5 ships to open up in order to get a talent upgrade...........oh, and JP gets kicked to the curb...............

JP looks lost right now. In years JP has been successful in his career (other than year 1 at Siena) he’s basically been able to go on autopilot in terms of rotations and let the players mostly stick to their strengths. This year he doesn’t have that and he’s recruited players that don’t fit the system he wants to run of 2 bigs and playing tough out of the post, so he has no idea what to do.

I keep score and stats as I watch a Siena game and after Siena led by one at the half, I wrote down, Who will make better halftime adjustments? I guess that question was answered resoundingly! Disappointed tonight in Shivers- sure he was high scorer, but he jacked up 12 shots and only hit 4 and did not see the floor well at all, missed a lot of open men, but no pass. Not sure if that is just him or if he is still adjusting to getting back into the flow, but he was not in the flow tonight. He was a one man band. Think JP left him in, hoping for a few more miracle 3's with " 0" on the shot clock. I had Fisher and Oduro for a combined two rebounds - that is just unacceptable. You want to play as a big man - rebound the ball or sit the pine! Roman Penn - outstanding effort- kid really cares and works so hard. Huerter solid, but Monmouth kid makes a good defensive play, Huerter called for offensive foul - and the hook to the bench. Prince turns the ball over three times in a row and collects foul after foul - still sees court time. Horn is a pure shooter - and another hard worker. Another game with terrible defense - listened to the radio after and they refused to give a defensive player of the game award because Siena played such terrible "D".
This team is terrible on the road. At TUC, they are much more competitive. Wish we were playing someone other than Dunn on Monday!

Got the root canal I was looking forward to in that second half. The only Saints teams I can think of that have looked as bad as this team has at points this season are teams that had a different coach the following season. I know there have been flashes of good play, but I'm not seeing any progress, and Prince is struggling mightily. Just some really ugly basketball.
On to the next.

He really does look lost to me as well - he doesn't know how to handle this team. It's like the kids are puzzle pieces and he's never seen the picture of what the puzzle is supposed to look like.
