Prince has to succeed, JP’s future depends on it. I don't think he will go down as a Siena great. I think he's like Silas. A highly touted but average MAAC player. I might think differently if he wasn't rebounding so poorly.

He’s been thrown in and it’s baptism by fire. The offense/system sucks, too many rotations, no continuity, no chemistry. Programs a hot mess.

He can be a serviceable defender and rebounder but it's not like he's even as good as Silas on the boards and blocking shots. I fear that he's a watered down Anosike and won't improve as much as people hope. Maybe 3rd team upside. I worry that he'll improve a little and then plateau.

Prince and Penn have been given the keys and must do well because no one else is being given a chance. So Patsos has rested his job on them

May never be a polished post player but he has plus size/strength at the MAAC level. He passes well out of double teams and has shown a fairly nice touch around the rim. I just love how fans give up on players based on a small sample size. Let's give him a chance to develop. To quote ppc, #playerdevelopment

Not sure I agree with that. Why would you expect the non conference SOS to drop when St Bonaventure, Vermont, Albany, Hofstra, Charleston, Bucknell and FGCU are all expected to fare quite well in their respected conferences? Louisville and Memphis are what they are. Looks like Robert Morris is better than expected and should be competitive in the NEC. Lehigh appears to be a midpack Patriot team. Only Bryant and Holy Cross appear to be truly bad teams and their RPI's are already trash. The OOC SOS should stay pretty steady as I don't see any of the teams they play taking huge nose dives in conference play. We'll see. Oh they will correct them self. The patriot is horrible this year unless you drink the JP cool aid he says they are a great conference, they are are 30th ranked conference. FGC just got thumped by 20 by Rhode Island tonight, FGC beat Siena by 33. Niagara beat the Bonnies and Canisius only lost by 8 to them. The Bonnies aren't that great but beat Siena by 20. Vermont is weaker this year. Albany is over rated, Siena almost beat them, they'll be exposed, Monmouth beat Albany by 8 and Canisius almost beat them too, lost by 3pts. RM not a good team even Canisius beat them by 14pts. It has already started to correct itself. I'm just hoping to get 2 wins to start the year against the weakest teams in the MAAC. If Siena doesn't win the first 2 games it's going to be a painful year. I should state that I think the Bonnies are a very good team. I wasn't trying to say the Bonnies weren't good, just to me great is the next level. Bonnies have dropped a bit but still very good RPI 36. Vermont also doing good but dropping a bit 75 RPI. Albany dropped quite a bit 151 RPI. Hofstra is still holding strong at 81 RPI. Charelston 121 RPI. Bucknell 154 RPI. FGC has dropped a fair bit 209 RPI. Louisville very good 37 RPI. Memphis 167 RPI. Robert Morris 142 RPI. Lehigh 229 RPI. Agreed Bryant 325 RPI and Holy Cross 339 RPI are terrible. Siena's RPI has dropped about 60 RPI. Siena is now 281 RPI, some of this is do to the non conference SOS correcting it self. But a lot has to do with not being able to win games. Quinnipiac 313 RPI and Marist 301 are going the other way and will soon pass Siena leaving Siena in the basement of the MAAC. This is going to be a very long season if Siena can't get one win in the next 2 games to stop the bleeding. Siena will be 300 plus RPI soon. Finishing with 10 wins total or less this year, I wonder how many quality recruits will come to Siena. They are watching this mess play out just like we are.

Patsos can't judge talent very well or chases them away not sure. What happened to Hitchon coming for this year, 6'8" 220 lbs very athletic and can shoot. Nope lets take PO and give him 25 plus minutes a game and see what we can make him into. Prince has never been a great shooter and his athleticism has deteriorated with the weight gain. The minutes given to a freshmen should give Prince huge confidence. But where is the return in productivity for the minutes. Hitchon either chose Canisius and playing way less minutes over coming to Siena or JP chased him away or let him slip away. It will be interesting to compare stats when both are playing roughly equal time. I think Patsos picked the wrong Canadian big man if it was his choice. This post may have gotten lost under all the other crap on these boards the last day or so, but my god this is a bad take. Hitchon is currently averaging 6.3 minutes per game at Canisius (a team with a thin frontcourt), shooting 33% from the field without making a single 3. He’s also committing a foul for every 3 minutes he’s on the floor. Prince has been pretty solid, especially for a freshman big man in a league that rarely if ever sees freshmen bigs come in and contribute, especially when you consider the fact that he’s not 100%. He’s going to need some time to learn some things and I think dropping 10 pounds would do him some good as well, but he’s a guy who absolutely has All-MAAC upside and really isn’t that far away. Get in better shape, make some free throws, and just get more comfortable on the floor with positioning (he gets lost at times but is improving against double-teams) and he’s an all-MAAC player. As for Hitchon; I was told (not by Siena people) that he chose Canisius because they recruited him for longer. Siena swooped in in February when they thought they had more transfers than they were going to have. Hitchon chose the school that had been recruiting him for 2 years. Hitchon did pretty good tonight against Quinnipiac. I guess we will get a better look at him on Sunday. Depending on how many minutes he gets if any.

The overall program is a trainwreck 0-3 MAAC and 4-12. Patsos runs-off yet another player and I’m not sure there were 2k in the stands tonight.

You did leave out the 2 assists and the block. Two of the fouls were bush league also. All I said was he did pretty good. Give him 30 minutes a game for 15 games and see how he's doing lol. Especially if you can do whatever, and not come out of the game. I still think it will be interesting to compare stats with equal or comparable minutes. That's why I said next year we will have a better idea of where they are at. I think you will be surprised on Sunday if he plays. Maybe not but I think so. He is way more athletic than Oduro and can shoot better hands down. He's in better shape then Prince. If Siena had a Crumpton I don't think Prince would be getting any where near the minutes he's getting. JMO

The guy made a comment about Hitchon so I responded objectively with the stats. Prince had a very nice game.
