BBfan- you are spitting into the wind. Here is JP's play- he doesnt care about wins and losses this year as long as he gets to double figure wins ( at least 10) the idea is to play Oduro and Penn as much as possible to pump up their stats, get other freshmen playing time. in off season try to get 1 or 2 more kids that can play -- then next year win 17 or 18 games with a team mainly composed of Freshmen and Sophomores. He will then "work" Darg over for another 5 year guaranteed contract - so Siena fans can be assured of 5 more years of so-so Jimbo and 500 play, and sad part is Darg will probably fall for it, completing Siena's fall to low major status Eight years I would say the fall is complete. We are a low major.

Eight years I would say the fall is complete. We are a low major. Actually should drop down to D2 and just get it over with if this is the thought process This constant call to drop down to D2 is ridiculous and total BS. While the program is not near it's heyday. There are far worse programs than Siena's in D1. Go see a St. Rose game at their typical D2 elementary school gym. Night and Day with Siena. Please stop with dropping to D2 comments, they make no sense.

I agree with this-- if 500 is the new "normal" only a matter of time before program is back in the ARC, but even that could take years to happen

With the reduction in seating capacity, if we end up back in the ARC we'll be back in the NEC

Not as long as Niagara, Canisius, Iona, St. Peter’s, Manhattan and Rider are in the MAAC with their facilities.

Eight years I would say the fall is complete. We are a low major. What does a low major coach get paid... Probably half of what Pastos is getting paid. To bad D'Argenio wasn't smart enough to tie his performance to his salary.

Patsos can't judge talent very well or chases them away not sure. What happened to Hitchon coming for this year, 6'8" 220 lbs very athletic and can shoot. Nope lets take PO and give him 25 plus minutes a game and see what we can make him into. Prince has never been a great shooter and his athleticism has deteriorated with the weight gain. The minutes given to a freshmen should give Prince huge confidence. But where is the return in productivity for the minutes. Hitchon either chose Canisius and playing way less minutes over coming to Siena or JP chased him away or let him slip away. It will be interesting to compare stats when both are playing roughly equal time. I think Patsos picked the wrong Canadian big man if it was his choice.

This post may have gotten lost under all the other crap on these boards the last day or so, but my god this is a bad take. Hitchon is currently averaging 6.3 minutes per game at Canisius (a team with a thin frontcourt), shooting 33% from the field without making a single 3. He’s also committing a foul for every 3 minutes he’s on the floor. Prince has been pretty solid, especially for a freshman big man in a league that rarely if ever sees freshmen bigs come in and contribute, especially when you consider the fact that he’s not 100%. He’s going to need some time to learn some things and I think dropping 10 pounds would do him some good as well, but he’s a guy who absolutely has All-MAAC upside and really isn’t that far away. Get in better shape, make some free throws, and just get more comfortable on the floor with positioning (he gets lost at times but is improving against double-teams) and he’s an all-MAAC player. As for Hitchon; I was told (not by Siena people) that he chose Canisius because they recruited him for longer. Siena swooped in in February when they thought they had more transfers than they were going to have. Hitchon chose the school that had been recruiting him for 2 years.

In my opinion if JP would have started this season with the mind set of going small. This team would probably be 6-7and likely would have beaten either one of these teams Albany,Vermont and Memphis and possibly all three.Known that's being a little hypothetical depending on his coaching and in game adjustments. But the problem was he had the answer with the Hofstra game but chose to not look at it.What a DA sometimes the answer to your problem is right there. Then you go and listen to the only person who has the wrong answer YOURSELF PRIDE You had zero chance against UVM...you got your ass kicked! I'll give you UA and Memphis.

Hold on click clack i have your answer.Yes we would have n been more competitive against Vermont.Wait for it wait for it ok known if I'm right i may not be, but the hold up on that game scheduling came from Vermont.I do believewe had i schedule ready they i think may be wrong was trying to find date.Ok you ready for it they knew our schedule Louisville away on Wednesday travel late home.Home game Albany Cup Saturday night 7pm tension ,suspense excitement, drama and city pride.Need i say more youth competitive in balance David v Goliath purple and gold vs green and yellow families torn apart with graduates from both schools.Finals grades study hall all of that. And here comes Vermont fresh at home there own beds court ceremony.Poor YOUNG Siena off a tough lost to big old mean experienced Albany.Ooh yeah the travel to cold isolated be Vermont. We where just lambs ready for slaughter and they knew it when they scheduled that date.Probably all of this is just BS but hey I'm sticking with it.Good Luck on your season and revenge your little brother Saints😀

It will be interesting to watch, like I said. Thin as in not many bigs? or not talented bigs? I think they have more size then Siena, well that play for sure. Poor Sammy. Hitchon has only played in 10 games and has less minutes all year then Prince does in 2 games. Hard to know how good he can be, coming in and out a lot is tough on a young kids confidence. He's only taken 1 three point shot lol hasn't made a 3 all year. I totally agree the fouls were a problem, but the game has gotten a bit soft. He seems to have figured that out now, 20 fouls first 6 games only 1 in the last 4 games. He's playing a role when he plays. Wow what a concept Coaches coaching and players doing as told. I think if he came to Siena and was given same minutes and lets say a get out of jail free card to make mistakes and not sit on the bench like Prince. Which is huge for a freshmans confidence. He would be doing as good or better then Oduro by now for sure. Oduro started out good but lately nothing special. JMO. We will see next year I guess. So Prince having played more then most Seniors this year, should be a step ahead by next year. I don't think that will be the case though. Maybe he couldn't stomach JP as well as Canisius recruiting him aggressively. I just think it will be interesting to keep tabs on.
