So typical.... the hype, the first sign of what we'll see this season, the injury

Yes this is the best possible thing for the team right now. Now all we need is a few guys to transfer and a couple of well timed suspensions and BOOM! .500 season and extension/vacation time. Just remember no matter what happens -- above all else--- IT IS NOT PATSOS FAULT.

Hopefully just a sprain we need Shivers to play a big role this year to contend. I would not play him in Montreal.

Team picture in front of Olympic Stadium (I miss the Expos!) shows Shivers standing ok.

Team picture in front of Olympic Stadium (I miss the Expos!) shows Shivers standing ok. Based on later images posted for, practice, Shivers didn't practice today (street clothes while rest of team was in practice jerseys, but was once again standing fine. My guess is we sit him for the trip, as there is no point in risking an injury over a meaningless game. Too bad, as I wanted to see how he looked in game action after seeing how outstanding he's been in practice. Obviously the fact that he is in fact with the team and not on crutches or anything like that seems like a good sign though.

Walking around Montreal is not exactly keeping weight off it. Either it's not that serious or they're horrible at managing injuries.

Shivers picture watch: a zoom in on this shot reveals what appears to be a soft brace on Shivers' knee.

I would think a soft brace would be consistent with a recent sprain or strain of the MCL.
