He was recruited to play the point then moved to the 2 when Penn arrived. Is that clear enough for you? Or maybe Penn arrived BECAUSE he was moved to the 2? Ever think of that? That could be the case and also fits what I know. The main point is that Richard is a point guard but Patsos changed his mind about playing him there after he signed.

Did he change his mind or did the kid show he could t play Pg at the D1 level this change made out of necessity

If you can't figure out the kids not a point guard before he gets here it's no wonder Rexy is a 500 lifer. That has more to do with why he loses 50% of his roster than anything. What JP is doing is a waste of time and hurts team chemistry. Too many examples of him recruiting kids and they turn out to be something other than what we needed, wanted or expected. Not good!

HE DID LOSE IT IN PRACTICE..LMAO Penn has been beating him like a drum since Christmas. Why is THIS still a debate? hahaha Not true at all. Richard was moved to the 2 and did not compete with Penn for the pg spot. Says who? You?? Lol. Richard wasn't "moved" anywhere. He's just not good enough to get on the floor.

You can be a diehard fan and not care for the coach it's not mutually exclusive. +1 I have more respect for the Siena fans who in spite of their potential dislike of any player, coach, admin (or dislike of any of those persons' "actions") still support the team/school by their continued financial support (purchase tickets, donations, etc.) as opposed to those who choose to stop their financial support for their favorite team. I know it's their choice (to stop their financial contributions) but it's my choice to comment on their actions (as they're only hurting their favorite team). Just wanted to extend my sincere thank you for your continued support. We're not so different after all, we just choose to vocalize specific displeasures, disappointments, etc. differently. Thank you again.

Some of us are homeless and need to burn tickets to stay warm at night. Did you guys ever think of that? No. Cause you're selfish.

Patsos brought in freshmen to play the point and moved Richard to the 2. He wont play much there because he is not a better option than what is there already.

The entire Khalil Richard story has me shaking my head. When Khalil signed in November, 2015, Siena had Marquis Wright entering his junior year and Kenny Wormley as a freshman and Kadeem Smithen redshirrting after one season at GWU, where he was recruited as a PG. All of them played PG through high school. The two year difference in seniority followed the PG separation which Jimmy had used while at Loyola. Recruiting another PG a year behind Wormley and Smithen made no sense unless Jimmy was clairvoyant and knew, before Wormley or Smithen played a single game, that Wormley would leave after one productive season and Smithen's first year as an A10 transfer would be pretty underwhelming. Therefore, it really does not make sense that Jimmy would have been recruiting a PG in last year's freshman class, and if Jimmy told Khalil that he was recruiting him to be a PG, then Jimmy is a bad recruiter for recruiting a position he did not need to recruit in that class.
I would also suggest that if it was Jimmy's intent to recruit a PG in that class, he was either hopelessly naive or extremely misguided in his choice.Khalil had two classmates at St. Francis who were recruited to play PG at the mid-major level, Kurk Lewis (Drexel) and Daquan Bracey (Louisiana Tech). Each played at least 28 minutes per game and averaged at least 5.0 assists as a college freshman. With these two playing with Khalil, who is bigger than both, it is inconceivable that Khalil was primarily a PG at St. Francis. Therefore, if as PPC claims, Jimmy recruited Khalil as a PG, it was more of a hope he would be successful in moving to that position in college (read Khalil's quotes in the Baltimore Sun about his need to transition to PG) than a decision based on what he had achieved in high school. It may well be that Khalil wanted to play the point with his buddy Nico, whom Khalil presumably felt he could not beat out at the 2G, and that Jimmy was trying to facilitate that possibility, but why do you compare an alleged PG recruit to Vinnie "Microwave Johnson as Jimmy did frequently?
I don't see Khalil as having been recruited over because I don't see the objective facts supporting his having been recruited to play the point as opposed to being an "instant offense" guy coming off the bench. But if Jimmy did recruit him as a PG, then this was another in an increasingly long list of recruiting mistakes, joining the likes of Maurice White, Michael Wolfe, Cam Gottfried and Jimmy Paige.
