snowFLAKE alert! Another personal attack by Misspractice! ππ Not sure where you are coming from. Where is the personal attack? MP was pretty funny in making the statement. Keep your personal dislikes to yourself. MP has forgotten more than you will ever know.

If you want to beat Monmouth you want to beat them in the tourney. No way Siena beats them 2 of 3. They are to good and well coached. Can Siena beat them 1 of 3, definitely, but you want that win in the tourney the MAAC goes through Monmouth. I along with everyone else want to see Siena play well possibly upset, but I want to see the upset in the tourney. That's just dumb. If they can beat them once, they can beat them twice. Besides, a win likely puts the Saints on the opposite side of the bracket as the Hawks. I want to see Siena beat them tomorrow night and take that confidence/momentum along with them into tournament.

The MAAC is a guard league- Monmouth has best Guards in conference, they have best player in conference, in Robinson - they have two other players that can beat you in Hornbeak and Seaborn. Hawks guards are vastly and I mean vastly better than Siena's. In short Monmouth is best team in MAAC- Saints are a 500 team- how often did Fran's teams lose to 500 teams or less-- not too often. Overall Monmouth has much more talent than Saints- doesn't mean Siena can't "upset" Hawks- but dont count on it- very long shot. To put it in perspective for you- we have as much chance of beating Monmouth as Marist does in beating Siena on Sunday. Doesn't matter what defense Jimmy plays- if Monmouth plays well Siena will get killed- if they play so-so, Saints still lose, if they play bad and Saints play best game of year they can beat Monmouth. Saints are not on same level as Monmouth. Disagree, Wright and Clareth are every bit as talented as Robinson and Seaborn. It's the next group of guards that the Hawks throw out there that are clearly better than any of the Saints guards (at least at this point in their respective careers).

I think Robinson is a little quicker than Wright so, JR>MW, but not by much. Clareth=Seaborn and Long>Hornbeak (if LL "shows up"). I would call that part a draw if they focus and don't give the ball away. The key would seem to be for both Brett and Javion to show up with their "A game". In both the Marist game against Hart and the Monmouth game they were too often "innocent bystanders" once they drove the lane against them. As I had posted in a previous thread, 82 points should have been enough to beat Monmouth last time. It is not the offense, or just the guards that cost them that beating. Just my two cents.

I think maybe what Dave was thinking is that if Monmouth is going to play sub-par and we are going to play optimally, hopefully that would be in the tournament game vs. regular season (if the stars aligning that way are a long shot). It just didn't come out that way.

I want the win...and the day off that comes with the 2 seed.
Saints can't afford to be playing good teams on shorter rest.

In oorder for Siena to have any chance of beating Monmouth every starter, including Nico have to be on their game. But the most important player will be JO! He cannot get caught playing man defense defending guards out on the perimeter which I have noticed the last few games. Also his rebounding has to improve on the defensive end.If he plays like he's capable of and his teammates follow suit the Saints can win this game. Khalil Richard could also be an important player who should be getting more playing time and experience because we saw flashes of his ability when Nico was out.

Dumb, no just history. If you loose to a better team twice you are more likely to upset them the third time because the will be relaxed and cocky. That's sports 101.. I like to see Siena beat them twice but that is highly unlikely, again read the post the championship goes through Monmouth, they are the Siena teams under FM. I rather play the odds at this point.

I hate the it's tough to beat a team three times cliche. History proves it is more likely than not that the team wins the third game too after winning the first two. This is all semantics anyway as we are all in agreement it's going to take a few lucky bounces to win either or both games at this point.

Siena 86-82 over Monmouth. We'll get an opportunity to play them again Monday night 3/6.

Way to double down on crazy, should have gone with greenblood's interpretation. If you lose to a better team twice, chances are you are going to lose to them a third time. By your theory, Monmouth should have no chance in the tournament given that they will likely play 3 teams they already beat this year. and kk, I believe Guy's theory centers around teams that have similar talent. I stand behind I want Siena to win every game they play as confidence and momentum are difference makers going into a winner take all tournament.
