Yup. Jimmys time here has caused the rash of loyal season ticket fan base. Had nothing to do with his predecessors 35-59 record and 7th, 7th and 9th place MAAC finishes. You think a kid would rather play AT Duke/Kansas, or at the TUC? Not YOU, THEM? Program loses a recruit yesterday to a Big 12 school, their top recruit to probably Notre Dame/Villanova, and you come guns blazing of the programs "failures?" lmao LMAO - "guns blazing" - Ha! OBTW, thought your man was brought in to bring us back to the levels we enjoyed previous to our last head coach? I don't think anyone can do that, but if you honestly don't think this program is better right now than it was from 2010-13, you're in serious denial.

Have to agree sky, the home OOC schedule for UTC doesn't compare to Siena's. At least Siena is playing all DI teams. It must have been the Hiwasee and Tenn Wesleyan and the 303 ranked Jacksonville St. games that sold Nolan on UTC. Yes...and we play Niagara...UTC plays Tennessee, North Carolina and Vanderbuilt...a recruit doesn't care about the DII's as long as there are BIG BOYS to off set it. I am a Siena fan but I am also a basketball fan and I want to see the best and the recruits want to play the best. No, MP says he, and several others won't come because of our home OOC schedule. Of course UTC plays UTenn and Vandy. They should play those bigger in-state schools every year. Good to see they don't duck the good mids like Syracuse and St. Johns do. Kansas = North Carolina, GW > Tenn, so what? Maybe the kid wanted to play in the south? Maybe he wants to play at a school that is "more urban" than Siena is. That does matter to some inner city kids. He's one kid out of 25 we'll recruit this year. Stop looking so deep into it fellas.

Recruiting cycle is still active, fans will have an answer soon enough as to level of player we will be bring in to fill the vacating starter spots. Losing McGuirl is understandable (who wouldn't take a shot at the BCS level). UTC we should be competitive with ..... Said it before, this season and recruiting cycle is very important for JPs future longevity. Falter at either one & he's in big trouble. This is make or break time for JP.

No, MY (your view) guy was brought in to continue what we had - didn't turn out that way. But Ok, now I get it, so your saying YOUR guy was brought in with no goal of restoring what we (i.e., Siena) had before the PW - looks like the hire makes sense in that light - a MAAC vision - we were to be the new Loyola......from that perspective John got his man........

The Tenn and UNC game are part of s tournament where the big boys go to Maui after.beating the mids at home and the "losers" get to go to West Point to play other mids. Much like Siena did last year when they played the NCAA championship teams back to back.

Are we still in on Hammond? No, he went backwards this summer Did you see him play live this summer?? Wouldn"t say he went backwards I will say I'm not shocked guys jumped ahead of him on the priority list. Doubt he lands at Siena, but imo his strength is what Siena needs SHOOTING. He's also tough enough and would respond to coach like Jimmy P. Too bad it didn't workout I thought it could've been good fit both ways. Recruiting is tough job that's why coaches get hired n fired. I still think Siena will get good talent for 2017.

Other than that great post on the factors maybe making UTC attractive to a Ball'more kid

We will see how all these recruits turn out in 4 years especially at low/mid major level. I do agree I think the staff will find talent in 2017.
