I agree with Jimmy not satisfied with .500 or not winning MAAC. Just like Jeb Bush said, he doesn't question Obama's desire to help the country and that he truly cares about it and the people; it's just that Jeb has different approach. Same here with Jimmy and Fran. Both wanted to win here at Siena and both want what's good for Siena and it's fans; they just have a different style or way of getting there. Anyone suggest Jimmy doesn't care or doesn't want what's best for Siena doesn't have a clue. Question his style all you want but don't ever question his desire to win here at Siena. He said it himself in so many words in the past, Patsos cares more about the process then the end result. Does he want to win? Yes, is it his #1 priority? No....IMHOP. I think you're wrong and Jimmy "says lots of things to motivate players". Jimmy does care about winning but more importantly wants Siena to be successful. Jimmy simply uses a different method to get his players to perform than other coaches; but he want's Siena to be successful (and winning does that). Read between the lines. He cares about winning but wants his players to buy in too.

Although you may see a few similar personality traits between a character like Bobby Knight and JP, I think to compare them would be a real stretch. I've read things about JP like he isn't a gym rat etc.. To me that ok. The thing with JP is he says whatever he thinks necessary to be politically correct. But do you really thinK he doesn't mind losing? Do you REALLY think it doesn't bother him? Come on, this dude is a competitive Son of a @#&. But it doesn't consume him. It isn't the only thing in his life. That doesn't mean he's not going to do the job. But his way. I still have faith that he's going to build a winning program here. This season's success or failure is going to shed a little light on the reality of his tenure here at Siena.

Now back on topic. His jumpshot looks effortless, such a sweet stroke from three and the mid-range. #13 black/yellow www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcCGeKu3w90www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewPK6yQf-AY

Like I said on the other board, the first comparison that comes to mind with this kid is Kidani Brutus.

JP understands that playing hard every night is the only way any team really succeeds. In pre-season that needs to be the mantra. Once the games start winning takes center stage.
How can anyone who has watched a JP in-game sideline tirade really think he doesn't care about winning?

Jimmy is a knockoff Mike Lonergan Really ? I'd take Mike Lonergan in a heart beat over Patsos.

The comment was in reference to them having the same personality on the court and similar coaching experience under Gary Williams. Lonergan is the better coach X and O wise. He's the better recruiter, and he's won more.

Stafford Trueheart and Aaron Tucker from Buffalo might not be far behind.

I believe Tucker is going to do a postgrad year and be a 2017 kid.
