I will say I totally disagree with Ryan's comment that Cole can hit the 3 point shot. Of all the practices and scrimmages I've attended he may have made 1 3 point shot.

Yeah, it seems to me that Cole could be the one most 'on the hotseat' with regards to Paige given what we're hearing. He's getting downplayed constantly...yet others get talked up. I mean, last year, he was talked up and was a possible starter.. then he's a 6th man type...now he's the 10th man...how much lower can he go? For what it's worth, at practice on Tuesday, when the team broke into groups and ran through their sets (no defenders), Jimmy told Brett to sit on the sidelines and take a break. Patrick Cole took Brett's place with the other starters. Does that make him 6th man, 10th, whatever? Jimmy will play whoever he wants, any time he wants. Remember last year when Jimmy put Steve Cruz into a couple of games when those games were still very much in doubt? You're just wasting your time if you try to figure out where each of the non-starters will fit from game-to-game. Sixth one game, twelfth the next. Matchups, fouls, game situations, injuries will all play a part in who plays when. I remember Cruz being inserted into the Quinny road game and we ended up pulling that one out. Got the player(s) motivated all right.

Cole was making shots at last Tuesday's practice, probably because you weren't there. Hankla & I were discussing him not making shots, then Hankla turned to talk to the guy on the other side of him and next thing you know Cole couldn't 't miss. I told Hankla that Cole only makes shots when he wasn't looking. So Hankla please promise you won't look when Cole has the ball and he 'll be fine.

I know you're being funny, but I hope Cole works half as hard as Cruz did (in practice) and Cole will be just fine. Cruz worked his butt off. So far I'm pleased with Cole's effort in practice. He 'll be fine come game time. It seems the more difficult the shot the more often Cole makes it. No easy shots for Cole.

Crap. Jimmy made it sound like Maurice White may not be available for Friday.

Crap. Jimmy made it sound like Maurice White may not be available for Friday. I heard that but Patsos has not been updated yet based on his statement. White does not have stitches and told me the doctor left it up to him. He can play when he feels he can. I bet he practices today

Crap. Jimmy made it sound like Maurice White may not be available for Friday. I would rather have him come back 100% than rush it and have lingering problems with it. Here is the chance to see the depth we have been talking about

He will not miss that game. I no my son he wants to play. He call me last night. If he doesn't play it wasn't because of him.

He will not miss that game. I no my son he wants to play. He call me last night. If he doesn't play it wasn't because of him. It would be bad to be without 2 of our top 3 defensive guys vs. UMass. This team's strength is that it has a little of everything. It's not all in one player, but it has everything. You start chipping away at the team and they start losing some of the ability to adapt to the opponents. We start losing abilities. No Silas or White and we'd be pretty reliant on the offensive minded players to just plain outscore an A-10 team on their home court. UMass is bad from the FT line and their shooting is questionable...but they still have athletic talent. Losing 2 of our most athletic guys will not help. We need to play better than we just did vs. Gannon. Can't have all those bad screens. We need to be good with the ball. And we'll need to get back to the good zone.

I agree KK. And while I am sure that Maurice wants to play, I would hope he comes back when 100% rather than rush into something and end up with further delays.
