There are specific rules for Joseph's type of transfer as a 4-2-4. It's possible that he is not eligible to play next season.
The one requirement I am wondering if he has met is if he graduated from his JUCO. He left Stetson at winter break of the '14-15 season and I don't know if he was enrolled anywhere for the spring semester.

I'm pretty sure Huerter got the final ship, and I'm still concerned over the schools handling of Joseph. Eligible immediately for ever other MAAC school, but we might make him sit. If Joseph is eligible with the NCAA then Siena should not hold him back. If that's true and he would be eligible at every other MAAC school I don't see why he would have to sit out at Siena. Siena is a good academic school but this is not the Patriot or the Ivy league here. If you allow your coach to take a JUCO who is NCAA qualified don't hold the kid back. Hope Joseph can play because he's yet another arrow in the quiver for Jimmy on defense. Siena is not St. Bonaventure who accepted a JUCO welding certificate "graduate". We have to accept the decision of the Siena admissions office. The Bona incident led to repercussions in the athletic administration and a booster committing suicide. We don't want that to happen here.

I know we denied 4 of his credits because they were "health classes," but those are gladly accepted at Iona and Monmouth (not kidding)

This is why I don't understand why the administration did an about face and allowed Patsos to take a juco. What's the point if they're not going to be ruled ineligible by the school's standards and forced to sit anyway?

If Joseph redshirts that makes the class of 2018 even larger with the Fairfield transfer also in that class. That would make no seniors in 2017.

Ironic that Iona takes another JC kid yesterday. A 6'6" SF from Philly/Mississippi

Albert Odero a 6'4" guard from Oneonta, NY, and a kid that was mentioned more than a few times out here as possible target, picked Binghamton over Canisius, StonyBrook and Holy Cross. He prepped in the DC area this past year. He's a freak athlete that can't shoot at all, but fun to watch

I have been following Odero for a while, he posted some impressive point totals for St. John's Prep in Frederick, Md. Maybe he can help Coach Dempsey who may soon be on the hot seat if the rebuild fails.

Actually, if he really shoots 44% from three, maybe he's better than LaRose and Richard. LaRose doesn't quite have this kid's handle and he looks more energetic and more adaptable in the lane than what I've seen so far from Richard. Maybe I just couldn't get over the initial reaction of seeing Kyle Griffin's doppelganger. Watched a few HS clips. With this kids physical limitations (he's small/thin) he isn't going to shoot it at 45% with a 6 3 athletic d1 guard in his grill. This is what we've come to... Again JP with what seems to be another underwhelming offer . I think we all agree that we need to get more athletic and these 2 guys do zero to remedy that deficiency Barry shooting the ball really well at Dartmouth as a freshman. He was shooting over 50% from 3 before a 1-6 night in their last game, but is still over 45% for the year and getting 20+ min a night even if its for a bad Ivy team. We could have used that shooting ability this year, but most were down on him because he didn't have the "right offers."

Really this is what this program has come to? He is avg 6 ppg for one of the worst teams in the country. Who is to say Huerter wouldn’t be averaging 7ppg for Dartmouth or LaRose would be avg 10 ppg for them. Does he look like type of player to you that would be a difference maker vs Monmouth or Iona’s guards? I don’t think so

This kid was shooting over 50% from 3. On a bad team with no help. How would he shoot playing with our front line, and continually facing zone defenses? We're never gonna go the Seaborn, Sam Cassell Jr route for kids. I don't think the school would sell out like that. No one is saying Barry is a world beater, just a kid that can play even though he doesn't pass "the eye test" (what 6'2" white kid does?). I know I'd rather have him on this team than a "eye test guy" like Shivers. Greenblood would love him too with his Ivy League smarts

I think he's going to develop into a pretty good player.
