I agree, time decreases could come from those 2 and White I would assume. As far as the 22 mpg comment...I would argue we would have done better earlier in the season had Evan played more. This is very subjective and has many external factors. Hymes stopped scoring in the postseason and Oliver stepped up so it's very easy to say now...especially with Cole and Paige coming. In the beginning of the year, he won us a lot of games. Practically any game we won early he was a major part of. He averaged 17.5 pts vs Purdue. Kid has his flaws in his game for sure but let's not sell his contributions short here. He also did pretty well in regards to assists this year. If White improves his shot and plays like he did in the CBI he'll get 13-15 minutes a game next year. His athletic ability and toughness is great on the press. He played 12.6 MPG last year despite missing the entire offseason. White, Oliver and Paige will take just about all of Hymes 20 minutes. Hymes is a good kid and I'm glad he is back but barring injuries (or ineffectiveness) he'll be hard pressed to play more than 5-6 minutes a game next year. His best chance for more minutes is if he can effectively back-up Wright at PG. But there is a logjam at SG. Way too early to count any one in or out of the top 7. PT will be earned in practice. Those that come back ready will take a spot. Those that dont will sit. Competition will be fierce next season. The more you can do the more you will play

Lol We would have had 3 30 mpg guys this year if not for foul trouble. It could happen next season.. also Wright wont be playing any 40 min games... he could still get 30 and the other 10 could be covered giving other guards PT there. And Hymes is just one of them. We will still need what he brings and I believe all of our seniors will come back ready to play

Yeah I can't see Hymes getting 5 or less min --- he will be an important part of the team.

Very hard to say how PT will go next year-- so many factors--how much Freshmen improve as they go to sophomore season- how good and how ready the incoming freshmen are and the biggest wildcard- does Patrick Cole "buy into" Jimmy's system-if he does the kid will play a lot.. We know Wright-Long-Poole- Bisping will play major minutes and probably Cole-- after that its a guessing game. Does White continue his good play at end of season- does his shot improve- does JO continue to play well like he did at end of year- how much does 6 months in weight room improve his game. Oliver- Hymes and Silas how many minutes and what their role is hard to determine. All I know is healthy competition for playing time should help the entire team in its quest to go to next level ( top of MAAC)

Yeah I can't see Hymes getting 5 or less min --- he will be an important part of the team. I think Hymes' role will be whenever the offense turns sour and Jimmy wants to inject energy and life. I think he'll generally play a lot of the back up PG minutes but not necessarily as the PG. Guys like Cole, Poole, and Oliver will all share it with him. Oliver did a nice job with just holding serve until Wright got back in. I think it would be prudent to keep Hymes involved at least somewhat to keep his confidence up for those certain moments and matchups that we need him and in a late game situations. Nobody goes end to end faster than him and he's still our best FT shooter. He's the team's insurance policy. Mutual of Hymes. With the style of toughness that we play and all the big guards we'll be playing...we'll still need that spark guy I think. I still see that potential for offensive slumps. I think 10 mpg is about right for him to keep somewhat sharp and involved. Those games when the Midget turns Magical, you let him roll a bit more. With him, you usually know pretty quickly which guy showed up. He scored just 4 less pts this year than he did last year in almost 300 less minutes.

Jon Rothstein tweeted: "Under-the-radar MAAC transfer --- Siena's Patrick Cole. Averaged 10.3 PPG two years ago at Coppin State. 6-5 SG. Will help the Saints."
