This team sure went from very interesting to not so much so in a short time. Don't see myself making much effort to get out to see the team this year the way things are trending. Gerry gets a pass since it is year one but the traditional excuse of a totally new roster doesn't float like it used to. Nowadays you need to be prepared to overhaul most of your roster from year to year. The coaches that can do that are going to be ones that succeed. Those that are relying on kids coming back and developing are going to be left in the dust. That's the sad state of college basketball right now. Year one but odds are next year we will have 5-8 new faces. This could be it for me. This team is as bad as Carm and jimmy teams.

Give the guys credit for competing, but you can’t turn the ball over 15 times against a good team like Jacksonville — or any Division I team for that matter.

Once again dug a hole way too deep.
Good fight. This team doesn’t roll over but we aren’t good enough to overcome these slow starts.
Gavin Doty should be in the starting line-up going forward playing 30 minutes a night.
Tae Jones needs more time maybe start him at the 5.
Shoats the bloom is off the rose he’s had four awful games in this losing skid. Needs to get his head right because he has shown he can play at this level.
On to Bucknell on Saturday night in Scranton, PA.
Hang tight guys better days are coming!

This team is way better than those teams. I’d be fine if this team was like Carm’s third or fourth seasons or Jimmy’s first, third or fourth years. Even Carm’s first year they were 10-10 at the end of January. The thing is expectations are different in year 1 for a new HC then a HC who’s been there for 3-5 years. If you want to quit after 7 games after the last 14 years well that’s your decision. I want to see what adjustments GMAC can make once we have more practice time.

Siena can’t let teams get off to big leads and then expect to come back to win. They just aren’t talented enough to do that. I think Gmac needs to mix up starting lineup. I’m staying positive right now. Only 7 games into the season, all new players and coaches, so hopefully they will figure it out and get back on the right track. If they right the ship and I believe they will then I think we will still be competitive in the MAAC. Gotta start winning games to get fans interested again.

I'm not giving up hope...way too early for that. Doty had a great game. Let's see if he can be somewhat consistent by mid-January. Shoats was looking good early but has hit a slump. GMac needs to help him get out of that. I'm sure coach is still trying to figure everyone out too. You can only tell so much in practice. Also it takes time for corrective actions to show up in games. You don't just tell a kid to shoot FTs better and they go from 50% to 80%.

Doty and Jones need to start. I'd like Jerry to give wake up calls to some of our starting players.

We need to pull the breaks on the over reactions….in both directions. This team is head and shoulders above what Carm had last year and anointing players as saviors (Doty being the latest) or busts after 1, or a few, games, is ridiculous. The reality is we had one bad loss, Albany. The other 3 the competition was just better than us. Yes, we are short on talent in spots, and are inconsistent in others, but these kids play hard, they just don’t have much experience at this level. I am still hopeful we can be competitive in the league.

On the plus side the radio station's reception seems better earlier in the day than after dark. I actually enjoyed Demos and Fenlon call of the games even though they were hampered by their location in the gym. i find the regular play by play guy Emmanuel to have too much doom and gloom. The two Fort Myers broadcasts especially today's had more optimism in them.

Doty sounding like he'll be taking a lot of Ducharmes minutes..... I've liked what I've seen of him even when it was garbage time. I also like any kid who scored 30 ppg in high school, including some 50 point games. He's earned a starting spot or 6th man role from what he showed today, well ahead of Ducharme.

32 of 64 points, 13 of 30 rebounds, and no TOs from our 2 freshmen who played major minutes today. I hope they are rewarded next Saturday vs Bucknell! One question- did Carey play only 6 minutes because of the injury he had yesterday?
