IMO the Johnnies deal is already done......Nelly, Shema and Clayton (maybe Davis) are sure to follow.

I wouldn’t leave Jenkins behind when Pitino leaves, it won't matter what players he takes with him, any of those that he doesn't are going to hit the portal pronto..............it will be the exact same scenario that the Peacocks dealt with last year when Holloway left after the Elite 8 run, total gut job of the roster, and a huge plummet in the standings............

That freshman Ayo and his HS teammate Sunday would also go with Rick IMO. Like GG4 said, it'd a be total turnover for the new coach.

For a good laugh read the Iona board. They are melting down over Pitino. Rick is one of college basketball all time great self promoters. Look at what he said at each stop in his career. The day he got cleared by NCAA, Pitino was unofficially done with Iona. ST John will throw a bucket full of money at him, the vitamin water guy has said he will throw in a bunch of NIL money in the till.. and unfortunately that's what college basketball is about these days. Whether Rick takes St Johns offer or some other offer- gal fans should be happy they had him for 3 years. No matter where he goes, Gals roster will defect to portal in droves, gals danced with devil and will pay the price for it this offseason. In Iona's favor, unlike Siena Iona usually does make good hires

Iona was good under Cluess well before Pitino and will be good again by making a smart coaching choice that focuses on basketball first and foremost.

Bring him in they may get even better. If it’s Tobin that’ll be just another kick in gut, especially because we could have hired him a number of times but took a flyer.

Interesting enough it looks like SJ has a Patsos like problem. They owe Anderson contactual termination money & are trying to weasel out like Siena did going the cause route.
This probably ends in a settlement but will no doubt cause a delay in the Pitino hire.

Maybe, but he’s a NY guy, sure PC isn’t too far from NYC but I still think his preference is to be SJ bound. Unless this really unravels.

Whoever they get will struggle next year. Half the team will transfer out.
