Pitino just hired a “General manager of men’s basketball” at St Johns. His sole purpose is to oversee the NIL and fundraise. 🤦♂️

His sole purpose is to oversee the NIL and fundraise. 🤦♂️ Before long every NBA team will be developing a “farm” system consisting of identified colleges broken down into A AA AAA level teams and players will move through the system now that college education is the secondary focus … HS players getting drafted and assigned to a college … sounds bizarre but initial recruitment, the “portal” (transfer rules) & NIL money has created a similar process (although informal) |

Wow … you really think this was a serious post … it is just an over exaggeration of where the state of college basketball is heading … going forward I will be reassessing my season tickets yearly … I’m not too excited about seeing 5 strangers wearing Siena jerseys every year |

Wow … you really think this was a serious post … it is just an over exaggeration of where the state of college basketball is heading … going forward I will be reassessing my season tickets yearly … I’m not too excited about seeing 5 strangers wearing Siena jerseys every year The most guys last in CBB is 4 years anyway. Not like the pros where you can have a core that stays 7-10 years. I’d love to keep the stars longer of course — at least 3 years. Keep banking with the NIL fund. |
