You have to calm down 03,, Davidson, Charleston MAson etc are pretty good programs and secondly the A10 currently has NO openings ..let it play out.

Yes I would put your money towards the Saints Alive program, rather than taking out an ad in the TU...your money there will have a better chance of getting them into the A10 or any other conference then some ad that barely gets seen...nobody buys the paper anymore!

Charleston is pretty far away from the A-10 footprint. It's a 6 hour drive from Richmond (the next southernmost A-10 program) to Charleston. The Charleston media market is smaller than Albany-Schenectady-Troy. And poorer: our MSA's per capita personal income is greater than theirs, by about $7,000. CoC also hasn't doesn't have very many postseason accomplishments (1-4 in the NCAA Tournament with no appearances since 1999) and would have difficulty ponying up the $1 million exit fee to a CAA they haven't even joined yet (it'll happen July 1) after still owing an exit fee to the SoCon.
I suppose the theory is that Davidson and Charleston would be willing to join the A-10 as travel partners. But the CAA tried that pitch, Charleston took it, and Davidson said no thanks. Is the thought that Davidson was seriously just holding out for the A-10? I've been wrong before, but I don't see them jumping.

And yet the Wake Forest bit got enough press to make it to the usa today on-line site. The Siena FAN BASE needs to get the attention of A10..WE WANT IN

I agree agree Ed on Davidson..I’m sure its just speculation on Thamel’s part—heck that’s what sportswriters do. But like I said currently no openings in A10 and probably won’t be for at least a week. As far as I know no teams have withdrawn from the A10- last I heard official invites for C7 won't go out till next week when C7 athletic directors and presidents are together for Big East tournament. And actually A10 AD and president will be in NY also.
3 years ago Siena would have been a slam dunk to A10- now thanks to program wrecker Saints will be a tough sell. Plus always a chance that ST Louis and Dayton do not go and A10 is only down to 12 teams in which case they prolly stand pat. Still way too many uncertainties

And it was a waste of money because Jeff Bzedelik was going to be fired anyways yep just like Mitch is Siena fan base needs to make some push - because I have this feeling the Admin is going to have the wait and see approach ..when they should be aggressive. The Admin. should at least say " Siena is open to joining the A10 " Which is what Butler did...just before they made the move. I mean we are talking about an Admin that hired Mitch

Give it time....I am sure the admin isn't waiting by the phone and are making their case behind the scenes....your phone calls and emails aren't going to start anything up that hasn't already begun....remember we have to be offered, it's not up to Siena whether they go or not

The nice thing about Davidson is they got all their wins in one year, whereas Siena has yet to crack the sweet 16. I keep thinking that if Edwin's 3 had gone down in the Louisville game, or if Fran hadn't pulled the trigger too quick on Ronald Moore in the Villanova game this program might be in a different spot right now.

Nova game just wasn't a good match-up. Also Ronald was hurting I believe in that game. Louisville game would have been HUGE had we won. No doubt if my mind we cream Arizona and go to the elite 8 and who knows what happens against Michigan State? We'll get to the sweet 16 one day I believe
