My brother lives in Cincy. They will miss Ducharme. Excellent 3 point shooter Coach Mac is a planner and a hunter he knows what we need and will bust his butt to spend his last ticket on a game changer. HE CAME TO SIENA TO WIN I love your attitude!!! |

Remember the guard Jayhlon Young we were in a supposed final 2 for with Memphis?? He got no run there, went into portal and picked Vermont (surprise). Well he’s back on the market as of today. Bad news is he’s considering: Ohio St, Michigan, Fresno St and Memphis again.
It’s amazing how desperate some of these P6 schools get for 10th guys on their bench.

Another interesting kid back in the portal that sounds right up our alley. Patrick Surmnick a 6’8” 235 senior from West Virginia, is back on the market. Played 14 min a game last year, 4.1 ppg and 2.6 reb.

Played 14 min a game last year, 4.1 ppg and 2.6 reb. I think that is the sort of guy we will ultimately need to target. These kids going 10&8 at low conference schools are getting all sorts of Power 6 conference offers and tough sell that Siena is a better option for them especially with NIL money. The kids that have already gone to a big school and struggled to get minutes but might want to spend their senior year in a situation where they can star seem the more likely path to landing an impact PF. Or the freshman big that didn't get minutes at a P6 school and want to showcase themselves for a year before jumping back to P6. |

Not sure if this is 2024 or 2025 recruiting, but heard today that GMac has a recruit on campus today. I could be wrong, but I believe the NCAA recruiting guidelines, say that rising HS senior recruits are not allowed to take unofficial or official visits until August 1st. If that is true, 2025 recruits could not be on campus this week. Maybe JUCOs 2025 recruits can visit? I hope it is a 2024 transfer portal recruit who is a "difference maker". McNamara did recently say he was "down the road" with another 2024 recruit for the 13th scholarship. |
